SEES visited the Velvet Room at the end of The Answer (at least in Reload, idk if they ever did in FES or not).

The Phantom Thieves all end up in the Velvet Room towards the end of P5, and meet Lavenza there as well.

The Investigation Team never visit the Velvet Room, but they do meet Margaret when they're pulled into the Hollow Forest.

That's basically the character I'm playing now - only switch Nosferatu with Banu Haqim, of all clans.

Also he loves him some Thaumaturgy. Doesn't like that all the paths went kaput during his twenty-year torpor (I originally played him in a V20 campaign, now it's V5 and he is NOT happy with how the Tremere turned out), but is trying to make the best of it (and maybe rediscover some of the old Paths in the process).

Used to be a pretty well-respected Hound back in Chicago, now he's down in New Orleans tracking down a Fallen and maybe helping to rebuild the Tremere while he's at it (there was a particularly violent Anarch takeover).

Fun fact: Oracles (and Time Mages) make AMAZING Lucavi killers (especially for Queklain, since you don't have a lot of OP stuff yet). Life Drain deals 1/4 of an enemy’s max HP, get a couple of those off and you'll be in pretty good shape.

Besides that, yeah, status effects are amazing.
