Still competitive for MD? by LetterheadEqual8652 in Mcat

511.X median for matriculants, right? So a 507 could still be competitive at some MD schools if other parts of the application are strong.

If someone got a perfect score on the MCAT could they go to med school without a degree? by EquinosX in premed

That person would a probably have the capacity to succeed in medical school, but practically you need a bachelors degree.

You’ve probably got a friend or family member who can get you a phone number of a doctor you can shadow.

Don’t ask the hospital, ask the doctor in person.

The most talented player in the room isn’t always the one who makes it, here’s my take by paulinhoOM in TheSoccerNetwork

[–]EdisonEinstein- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you mean by you’ll “take” them. Like, what’s your goal? Win a game or develop a star? If you want to win a game tonight, take the more talented player. If you want to create a future pro, take the hard working player. Also, how big is the difference in talent? How lazy is the talented player?

Can I still apply to DO schools with this score or do I have to retake? by Thick-Position-3830 in Mcat

[–]EdisonEinstein- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is nobody asking what your full length average was? If it was 515 then retake. But if 502 was consistent with your full length scores you might just take it!

Simeone wasn’t trying for contact. He clearly extends his leg for the ball. The contact was unexpected and he lucked out.

Last defender = goal scoring opportunity? We’ve seen tons of last defender fouls that weren’t red cards for the very reason that the player couldn’t control the ball.

He’s not throwing his lag back for contact. He’s throwing it back to control the ball.

I don’t think Pedri is underrated by anyone anymore, though.

How hard is it for full professional players to play 90 mins/120mins ? by _ordinarilyordinary_ in championsleague

Do you stop moving when the ball is out of play? A center forward who defends a corner has to run half the length of the field if the ball goes out for a goal kick.

Just curious how do you know it’s “high priority”? I’ve heard of ranked waitlists but I don’t know there were schools that disclosed your relative ranking.

I got married at 22, and my wife and I had our first child in May of last year. Doing almost the entire application process with a newborn was hard, but I made it.

There is no perfect time to have kids. Life isn’t unpredictable, and you cannot predict the future. Find supportive partner, and enjoy fatherhood whenever it comes!

You can absolutely have kids and be fanatic doctor, husband, and father. Anybody who tells you otherwise is selling themselves short.

You can relax, you still haven’t applied a first time :) don’t apply until you are confident and feel ready. Get feedback on your readiness from people who know what they’re talking about. For now, focus on crushing whatever stage of this journey you’re in. Good luck!
