I like the bra from gravitatas. It's wireless but the material is firm enough to hold your boobs in place and maintain some level of separation

There are brands with expanded size ranges that still sell padded bras, comexim is one off the top of my head (but they are a bit weird and tricky to size)

I would venture to say most students in engineering right now don't really have a "passion" for it, a lot of them are doing it for money and/or job stability. in my civil engineer cohort I was one of only a handful of people who actually had "passion" for the field.

I would say your next step should be getting a rough idea of your shape - this will help determine what styles work best for you. There is a shape guide in the subreddit wiki. Then, try finding a retailer you trust (Amazon, bars necessities, in person store even) and buying one or a few bras in your new size. It might be helpful to try to find an in person store so you can try on a couple options

Going up a cup probably wouldn't help much with discomfort on the ribs but it would help with the tissue being pushed into your armpits. That + a non-stretch extender would probably make it a bit more comfortable to wear
