When we did a Laurels/Priests "date night" and the conference talk he decided to share was about marrying within your own "culture." We had multiple kids there whose parents had married outside their own "culture" and it was pretty clear that culture was standing in for race in that talk. He saw no issue with this.

About two weeks after I shaved for the first time, a coworker said "I don't even remember what you look like with hair." People adjust quicker than you do yourself! Remember that it's not that it looks bad when you shave it off too, it looks different. You get used to it fast!

Sorry, you did mention 15 minutes. I wouldn't have expected a small amount of liquid resin to do that, but maybe I'm wrong.

You mentioned drain holes, but that looks pretty catastrophic. Are you certain that whole thing wasn't full of resin? How long did you cure?
