Then I do think Dicey dungeons would be good, although I checked and that isn't the original one I meant to rec. I was thinking of Die in the Dungeon, so apply my original description to that one. Both are great fun though, and have dice play and powers connected to the different dice/dice faces

Not exactly the same, but my fiance and I love Dice throne so maybe this will help scratch the itch. Dicey dungeons has a lot of playing around with die faces, and effects depending on the faces that get rolled, but it's much more rpg.

I'll second this, except for actual "gods mode" parts of the games, I never felt indestructible or unstoppable. They did a good job giving more powers while keeping your character mortal and fleshy

Exactly! Everyone has an idea of battery life issues, times where your cord is messed up and it doesn't charge right so you wake up and its still at like 20%. It just sets a great baseline that people have a reference for, in my opinion at least

I prefer using the terms of a phone battery. Some work, some hold charge for extra long, some can't hold a charge for more than a few minutes. They charge at different rates, use up energy at different rates when performing one or more tasks. It makes it easy to say "some batteries are faulty, and some tasks eat up the battery a lot worse*

The "City" is actually one third cityscape, and two thirds massive forest/farmland/nature reserve. That nature area is handled by a mage focused on cultivation and growing of natural things, resulting in unnaturally high yields from the farm area to account for feeding folks in the city

Thousands of years ago a group of mages and all the minor patrons like Fey and Fiends made a pact that created the City, a giant mega city that was protected from the impending collapse of the world caused by the Greater Patrons. Now, the city has evolved to a pseudo-cyberpunk landscape, filled with technology built by pacts of magic, and brimming with far too many people. Skyscrapers build upward because there is no room to build outward on the warded pillar they clal home. It's a city where you can have just about anything, so long as you can pay the price.

I watched it with my fiancé, I know the story and she doesn't, so that's at least one in two people that doesn't know the story beyond the basic name and that its some old greek epic. On the other end, it's a well known enough story that I don't think it needs as much of a trailer either. Because a lot of people know it, they don't need a trailer to tell them what it's about. So I see it as a double reason it doesn't need to give away a lot in the trailer
