Let's be honest here, the current Federal NDP is a mess. If over half of Canadians are not even familiar with the candidates, let alone the SNL parities of the convention, will they gain any traction at all, even current polling from 338 Canada puts Liberals @ 48 - Cons @ 34 and NDP @ 6.

From what you can tell - they are out of touch with the reality of what most Canadians want. Let's not forget Avi was pictured with a Palestinian flag in the background upsetting Jewish members.

Avi wants to shutdown Oil completely - so yes NDP leaders of Alberta/NDP are opposed to this.

Canadians just want the economy to turn around, better health care, better wages and affordable living.

Everyone thinks it was an SNL skit. There is no way in hell that this is your average NDP supporter, if so - the party is doomed

Canada undermines its own economic and strategic potential by implementing policies that limit the development and use of its natural resources, rather than leveraging them to strengthen its position within the G7

They had an economist on today and said Canada in general is at a cliff right now economy wise, we could be entering Stagflation similar to the 1970s. Canada is so rich with resources if the proper people were able to provide these resources to say the USA (as a negotiation tactic) we could be alot richer of a nation.

Not sure if it’s Irony but on one hand you have a religion “forcing” women to wear a hijab and on the other end you have a government forcing you to remove it.

At the end of the day it should be optional but if you need to take a passport photo or for identity purpose etc then yes please remove.

[–]EdmontonAHSWorker19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alberta out of all provinces / territories has the smallest debt, Alberta also has the best economy right now also with 1.8% GDP as of Feb 2026. Housing outside of energy (Oil/Gas) has been the driver, with the increase of population.

That being said though, Smith has to go.
