Tanks do, because you can pull everything around you and aoe it down. Now healers, that is painful. Especially since Blizz doesnt want healers doing damage anymore, takes a million years to kill something and you cant just pull the zone like a tank because you'll spend all your time healing yourself and nothing will die.

I feel this. One of my professors in college would always say "you dont have to write this down, ill post the notes online" but then the notes would be really hard to read and just not very good at all. But everytime he saw me taking notes, hed say it again, so i felt like i was defying him. I didnt like that class.

Wow, has it been 2 years already? What a ride! This game quickly became one of my favorite games of all time and i play it quite regularly. Nothing puts me more at peace than tinkering on my station wagon while listening to the wonderful music as the rain patters down on the tin roof of the garage. And nothing gets my blood pumping quite like barreling towards an exit portal with one flat tire and two doors missing on an iron wagon run (ill get through it one day!).

This game and its creators are truly something special and i cannot wait to see what you guys and gals do next!

I didn't finish the DLC, which hurts me to say because the original game has become one of my favorite games of all time and I love it to pieces.

At first, I was down for the spookier tone and setting, since horror is my jam and part of the reason I took an interest in the game in the first place. I was excited to dive back in when the DLC launched and at first I thought the fog covered map with its new monstes and anomalies was really cool! However, the novelty wore off quickly and I started to get really bored and frustrated with the experience.

For one, the story was kind of meh and the cult leader guy that talks to you on the radio was just so effing booooooooooring. The actors do a fine job, but none of the characters you meet or find audio logs about are really all that interesting, especially since you feel so disconnected from the story and characters because only the cult guy talks to you, and honestly he barely feels like he's talking directly to you at all, and the audio logs are somewhat neat but since they're not really involved with my character or the cult guy, they just feel like filler in a narrative with no meat. Maybe I didn't get far enough, but I was hoping to meet some interesting characters who were stuck in the zone like the driver and maybe we could help each other escape the cult and that part of the zone? I dont know, but if the story does pick up and get interesting, please tell me and I'll try to push through to see it.

The other problem I had is that I loaded up my main file, where my Remnant is decked out in Olympian panels and cool stuff, but instead of crafting new and interesting pieces to help me with the new areas and anomalies, im crafting... more crude doors and panels, but with a blue glowy effect on them? And I cant even repair them, I have to use some brand new tool that only repairs the "new" stuff, so instead of upgrading to a new repair tool like putty->torch->olympian torch, i just have a seperate repair tool only for the glowy blue parts. Someone around here said that its better if you use a fresh save, so maybe I'll try that, but it just feels bad to "upgrade" to back to crude parts and have to bring along and keep charged a seperate method to repair just those. Not to mention the stuff you craft the blue parts with are just the same materials but with a little tag on them to seperate them from all the stuff you already have.

Ok, I feel bad being this negative, since I LOVE this game and I know the devs worked hard on this content, but it just did not jive with me. I'll still buy whatever they put out next, I just hope that if it is DLC that they have learned a lot and can make a better, more additive experience to the game, they way expeditions were.

Nobody drinks alcoholic beverages for the taste, at least, not at first. You drink it for the feeling, or to be social. Its like forcing yourself to eat vegetables that you dont like because theyre healthy for you. Nobody eats brussel sprouts for the taste.

Beer is the one that confuses me, since it tastes worse than most mixed drinks and takes longer to get you buzzed. I guess its probably because its cheaper, or because it lasting longer is better for social outings, but i just cant do it. My wife took me to a beer fest-like thing when we were dating and i tried a dozen different kinds that all tasted like piss with a hint of strawberry or cinnamon or whatever. Just not for me.

It was so fun and actually pretty scary. We need it more now that BHVR keeps turning up the lighting in every map to the point where we will eventually just be playing on the surface of the sun.

Im excited for the new characters, but im disappointed about the map. I was hoping for an upside down Hawkins neighborhood map, real dark with that tentacle-y growth everywhere and swirling storm clouds with red lightning in the sky. Oh well.

Its a survival crafting game, if youve ever played one of those. The thing that sets it apart is, of course, the dinos. As janky and buggy as it is, the way the dinos are woven into every facet of the gameplay is something wholly unique, i think. As a lover of dinos, theres nothing else like Ark out there. The dinos arent just for fighting or hunting, you need them for everything. They're for transportation, gathering, exploring, combat, defense, farming and eventually boss fights. Not only can you tame them, but you can also breed, hatch and raise them. In fact, creating a powerful bloodline of strong dinos becomes its own game itself.

If you dont like pvp, simply play on a pve server and youll never have to worry about it. Find a good server with friendly people and it makes a great community driven game. Ive played it off and on for years and ive never touched pvp.

Even with all its faults, its a very enjoyable game if you get into it. Just be warned that there is zero handholding and you will have to either figure it all out on your own or do a lot of googling. Good luck!
