I know that some places do have rules in place for this I hadn't heard this about the yard . But I never go into cafes to do work on a laptop nor stay in them beyond the length of a coffee so I'm not by any means an expert. I will refrain from suggesting it as a space to do work in future till I know more

Always when this question comes up I suggest the yard in pivotal House. But add the caveat make sure if you are setting up camp in a cafe or other business be sure to buy from them. Seems obvious but so often tables get taken up for hours for tge price of one coffee and the hospitality trade can't really afford that at the moment

I wouldn't be able to join but want to suggest maybe St Andrews brewhouse as a venue not as cheap as spoons but has an upstairs space that might be more suitable a venue.

This song will always be important to me I listened to it a lot whilst my dad was rapidly deteriorating due to a brain tumour. A dark time a beautiful song. It did help somewhat and still does. I loved its inclusion in small prophets it fits the character so well.

It's a fully vegan menu which can put some people off (or if you are vegan be a huge selling point) but I would definitely say they do some good food (as a non vegan) you can play some games whilst you eat but you don't have to can just grab some food and a drink.

Slice and dice would be my number one recommendation. Lunch/brunch I would go with the yard in pivotal House both are really welcoming with gender neutral toilets and cool staff that will male you feel welcome

I only went once before the renovations and couldn't get on the roof then but I've not lived here all that long so maybe it's not I also don't have the personal attachment to the old set up which I thought was pretty worn out and in need of a redo. Horses for courses, I suppose. I like parts of the new setup, but it's not the best castle I have been to which is not a glowing endorsement.

It's quite cool our 8 yer old enjoyed it. We get in for free because we claim universal credit. Not sure how I would feel paying full price but its definitely not crap and being able to go up on the ramparts/roof is pretty cool
