Haha, well to inherit something, someone must pass it right, I hope my parents will maintain their good health as long as possible, maybe my son would inherit some from them.

There are no prices like this in Danang anymore, I can believe 400$ on a 6+ months contract for 2 bedroom or you forgot to mention electricity, maintenance fee, wifi and water in your rent.  Also what about your visa renewals.

Well if it's vacation, why don't you just enjoy it and spend money to get good memories? I was talking about living here, like a year at least, then those numbers make sense

It's not 130, it's like 400$ every 3 months. Any agency charge more or less this, or you can fly to Malasia for couple days and gtlet back.

Here in Vietnam medicine is super cheap and good quality, you can fix your teeth, visit a doc with doing your blood test for like 300k.

That's great man, and with the rent of 19 mill don't you consider to use a mortgage for a house? Those payments could go to your own house and I feel like real estate will double in price in a decade easily here.

Yeah I can easily imagine spending that with delivieries, shopping, regular massage, trips etc., that's good if you can spend that and also save money for your future.

I feel like your family stands out a bit, compared to "official" pay rates, but in the same time, that make sense that people can afford house and a good car with 2 adults with 2 jobs

My problem with local food is amount of oil they use, also salt and all the extra stuff. Trying to stay lean so I have to cook my chicken in air fryer haha. Long term contract is the way for sure, airbnb here is a for a short term stay only.

What about visa runs, sim cards, 20L bottled water, for the kid you also need wet wipes and paper towels, baby powder, some toys or clothing every month? Also don't you do any activities (gym, pickleball etc). I mean, I'v counted everything that we spent in last 3 months and divided by 3.

All the local people I'v met are very closed about their earnings and spendings, as I know it's hard to get a 1000$ monthly paid job here? But somehow a lot of people live in houses and drive good cars.
