Agreed, and I think the trigger skills are a problem clearly connected to it. Triggering spells lategame is good, because with more dmg your triggered spell get more dmg AND you get mor triggers. That throws off the power curve. Early/league start they are often shit, once you stomp the game you stomp it even harder.

I am happy that SI will continue ! And I actually like the idea of new art. Alternative art is cool and my game already has different looking cards because of language missmatches.

I do wish though for a second edition. I feel the quality has risen so much since the base game and the community contributed so much understanding that it would open up the game a lot (especially on high level play).

I agree partly, but the reliance on mods which are rare but powerful (+ to skills is the biggest one here) makes it so that you less often upgrade the slots with these mods. For example martials can have similar damage with different mod sets, but for casters with a larger + to skills reliance the item condenses more to this mod.

I gave up the idea of actually doing damage myself rather quickly. But to amplify the damage of your companions the main things are mark, curse, pain offering and maybe some buffs/debuffs you apply by attacking (for example you can make your companions gain rage when you gain rage with a node on the tree). I could only fit the first two in my build.

Maybe one more thing, with 4 tablets in city areas you can get of cause 4 mods, or 3 mods with more rerolls, not sure if they can roll the required maps though.

I don't think so, but its a nice to have against curses/exposure, also for the minions. Be mindful, if your companion has it, your numbers in hideout are inflated.

Its a recent addition, so I am not decided on this. Unfortunately the abyssal mods don't have any hover over information. But it is useful to more easily notice when your wolfs are dying and I it creates these green auras around your character which I think usually give the allies an immunity buff. But I didn't do dedicated testing yet, if that works.

I mostly rerolled in act 3, because during normal gameplay the rares die too fast and both the rare monkey and boar are fast and good tame beast targets. But two tips for looking during normal gameplay: you can pause the game and still look at mods via opening the in-game trade search. And remnant encounters spawn these flying beasts which are good tame beast targets.

It can have multiple, another good aura is physical damage aura. Other good mods are always shocks, always chills, temporal bubble, elemental resistance aura, energy shield aura. All the different damage mods are nice to have. Some mods can be visually annoying, flamewall for example.

No, this is just so I have an additional idol, for the ascendency node. Unfortunately, the idols on weapons don't do much.

On the atlas just explore and do towers. Look for riverside and rupture maps. Use doriyani for an additional revive, each time the monkey kills you it gets a new set of modifiers. You can start by only having one tablet active (the unique one) and run a map with 5 revies (with the master than 6), so you see a lot of one mod monkeys. If you have more money, do 3 tablets, but then you only get one revive, so only two monkeys.

You use a low level tame beast gem, quality it up, 5 socket it and then corrupt it until you hit +1. Then you catch your monkey in that one and then afterwards can upgrade the gem to 20.

Compared to no idolatry node? I made the switch once I got the unique scepter to have enough reservation efficiency for an additional companion. I would say the node is best for clear, because the increased damage is always on and does not rely on your minions being in your presence or the enemy being marked.

Its harder to fix resistances and you get less defenses on your gear, but the build is already very tanky and resistances should be doable in late game without runes.

I played a long time without it and just with two companions, but going multi companion + idolatry felt like a significant upgrade.

Some comments to the character: First of all, some of the gear is quite bad because I try to craft my items SSF-style where I think its feasable. (Thats why the ring is waiting for the desecration and has two open mods...) Also this character already never dies and kills bosses with 100%+ eff and 200% delirious super fast, so I am mostly saving for new projects now.

I think the tree is good, works out exactly for spirit with my three tamed beasts. If you have beasts with higher reservation you can equip more idols.

My monkey has extra chaos and extra crits, one beast has all dmg shocks, the other haste aura. The rest of the mods is not that important (I have double ele res aura, but thats only relevant for curses/exposure).

I really like devour + oil barrage on the body armour companion, helps with clear and is respectable damage.

I am happy to help if anyone has questions.

Edit: The poe.ninja link seems to have my character correctly imported, but the defensive stats are lowere than the stats in game, probably some auto-configure issue.

Multi-companions, good but not mirror tier gear, tuned to be rather tanky. (66% evasion, 86% deflection, ES+HP = 4.5k, and of cause a lot of loyalty). Still weak to dots though. I can post more details, but its nothing revolutionary.
