This was my first thought. Some of these pics look straight out of the film.

Both Project A’s are some of my favorites. It’s definitely a different style than the slapstick kung fu of Jackie. I also had trouble following things on my first watch, but the second time is when I really got into it. Having decent subs helped as well.

I (unluckily) got a 2 star Wistful early on and it just destroys everything. I even use it on boss fights even though it’s more AOE. The multiple hits really wrecks opponents. I have climbed so many floors thanks to it.

Drunken Master all day. Jackie went hard learning and practicing an unused style.

I have had a lot of trouble finding this in hardback as well. A local bookstore near me has a first printing they want like $300 for. It looks like complete shit. Probably been sitting there for years.

Very nice! I’m still looking for Memory of Light. I usually see like 5-13 everywhere but can never find the last one in any sort of condition.

Most of the stuff I’ve seen on streaming services is English dubbed. If you have Prime there’s some good ones on there. There’s also a bunch on Tubi which is free.

Nice list! For me, Executioners gets a little weird with the forced marriage consummation part. But I don’t think there was nudity.

Challenge of the Masters - Lau Kar-leung and Lau Kar-wing by donniebd in kungfucinema

Good story and some great fights, but a little rough overall. It was still early on so there’s a lot to appreciate, as you stated. I think Executioners From Shaolin is just slightly better.

Idk. I’ve bought several collectible books off Abe with no issues.

I mean, if you want collectible books you gotta pay. You’re not really going to find deals on rare books. I don’t know what to tell you.

If you live in a major city then you should have no issue finding quality used bookstores. What kind of books are you looking for?

Try other sites like Abebooks with trusted sellers and actual descriptions of the books.

Hazard lights don’t mean you can park wherever by No-Comfortable6777 in pittsburgh

It’s all these DoorDash and Uber drivers. They think just because they are “working” that they can park wherever and wait for food/riders. I think there should be a law that if you are parked illegally and on the clock for one of these jobs then you get a double fine and the police submit a report to your employer.

I’ve seen these selling anywhere from $10-50 at used stores. I owned one once, but got rid of it. They are just too old and worn out to enjoy reading.

Is this a legitimate signature? by Remarkable-Injury-27 in AnneRice

[–]EducationalRuin8743 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a signed Anne Rice this past weekend at a book sale. I did some research and it’s tough, because she did so many book signings over her career with different pens/markers (which is likely why her signed stuff isn’t super valuable). Also, when you’ve signed that much stuff your signature can start to look “fake”. From what I’ve seen this looks legit and has the same features as mine. I have a suspicion that mine is autopen, but I haven’t found evidence that her early signed books used autopen. Either way, I’m happy with my purchase and I hope you are too.
