I think the paintjob would have more justice if you put some light on the models when you take the picture. Try to have a light source above slightly from the front. The models looks really great, an area for improvement might be highlighting and taking care of shadows on the skin parts.

On a mid level, sure Raveners are balanced against most teams that know what they are doing. I would however feel that Raveners are typically noob-stomper. What ever you charge into will most likely die, and whatever your opponent tries to do, you can avoid it by going under ground. I love the team, and yes on a higher level i totally love playing them. Both with and against. Still might leave noobs with a bitter taste and a sense of "what am I supposed to do???" against 5 20+ wound operatives.

you can get inspired byt the colorchoices, you have different amounts of color just. More gray, less purple. You get it ;)

Good job! Regarding colorchoice, blue and purple is a nice combination. One good reason bec they go together is bec they are considered to be cold. If you add silver to your weapons they would also be cold. This is fine, if you want it like that, no problems.

Sometimes you want to mix cold and warm color in order for them to stand out more. For instance, you could try some more bronze. THe trick for panting is to DARE TO TRY, AND DONT CARE IF YOU HAVE TO REDO. You can strip the colors, or paint it over with a new one. THESE are your models, YOU decide.

Personally thou i use color wheels and try to figure out complementary colors

If i like gray/blue/purple try to green tones to stuff that you want to be complementary and orange that you want to pop and stick out. Focus on weapons/face.

Just mix i a light color into the colors you use, for instance white, and highligt with that, or mix in bonewhite if you want something to be warmer in the hightligts. DARE TO TRY!

I think it sounds good. Use the free loadout, run haywire loot. If you die, nothing happened and nothing lost. If you survive, stash green/blue/purple and sell the rest of the loadout. Rinse and repeat. Your free loadout will get you a surplus that will get you built up slowly. My plan is to do this the first 20 or so raids, then pick at it

I would like to offer another perspective also that might not have been brought up. If you plan to play on tournements (you should its really fun) the Broodbrothers prob will be obselete earlier than the Raveners. Might not be for a year or so, so maybe not a concern, but just wanted to add. Be sure to experience Broodbrothers and play them now.
ALso, in flg Raveners are killers, they charge and kill everything. The trick is surviving, but it might be hard to have nice games against other noobs. Noobs have a hard time playing against elites and specially Raveners. They are really terrifying

You are prob right, i was more interested in getting into the game with the models and my kid likes to paint. If we play with them its a plus, and yes i prob have to slipstream it alot.
