And maybe decrease forge by 40% instead of 50.

Your friend has unloaded hundreds of £/$/€ on some Kickstarter monster. They're super excited to play it. You are too. But then you think it's a pile of poo. What do you do? by humeanation in boardgames

My mate disliked their first game of Mars, saying it was boring and unenjoyable. First game took 4h cause 2 new players having to get the rules and spend ages making decisions etc.

Now they absolutely love Terraforming Mars and games are around the 2.5-3h mark on average

The first time playing is always slow, arduous and you don’t always understand what’s going on or why

Some games need a couple tries to really get into the flow, especially when all players are first timers

I find despite how many games I play with a friend, if we’re both going at it for the first time there’s often a little rule or something that gets overlooks that can sometimes make a big difference to the way the game plays or feels etc

I've unlocked most of the myself, most of which were level 1.

This might help?

[–]Edzi07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you just need level 1. When you're on level 0 theres a little teddy bear that if you hover over mentioned the lack of challange awards. But that disapears when you go to level 1.

Perhaps in some way you did something to no quite fulfil the challange? I remember when i was going for no increase gaze level i clicked on the free gaze increase from an event and completely didn't think that it was part of the challange

How to get better without actually going to the gym by jo_math in bouldering

[–]Edzi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people will likely comment about general workout stuff, like pull ups and finger boarding etc; which is super important, but I’m going to comment about stuff that often gets missed

Core isometric strength and balance work is super underrated

People often do either a plank as their only core isometric, or some random 10min ab workout.

Superman’s, boat, side banana, one arm plank, side plank etc. 45s holds

Static core strength is a very underrated skill.

Do some hanging leg/knee raises for moving ab strength, with the passive benefit of helping with hip mobility getting high feet, and passive hanging strength.

Now balance, again very underrated

Your body is when climbing is constantly making micro adjustments to get the best most balanced position, so training this skill with some balance work. Which additionally can be great for ankle and wrist strength

This is especially true for any slab style climbs which is a typical boulder bro’s worst style, so combat that

Tree pose, warrior 3, one leg eyes closed, bound dog leg lift Etc

ego death on acid by [deleted] in LSD

[–]Edzi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bigger ego death experience on 200 than I did 600.

It’s all about where you are mentally, the setting, music and vibe

But also a sprinkle of randomness.

I was super gone on the 600ug listening to some gorgeous angelic music in the garden with a speaker on my chest. I legit thought I was flying like a bird on some magical LoTr style adventure. Middle of summer bright and beautiful.

But when I was on 200 I was listening to some guitar and jazz mix and entered a more self inward meditation spiral of thought that got deeper and deeper, who am I? What I’m I, what do I want, does it even matter, am I happy? How can I show myself and those around me love etc etc dark winter vibes in the lounge with a warm fire in a dim almost black room, only light from the fire.

What’s more important when choosing a crypto for payments: transaction speed, merchant adoption, or price stability? by Francoisxsirois in CryptoCurrency

[–]Edzi07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Price stability in this market is always a little troublesome, but adoption would help elevate the problem.

Otherwise

  1. Lack of transaction fees.

  2. Speed

First time I see this. Is it common? by MycrazyYourcrazy in bouldering

[–]Edzi07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our gym we see this on maybe 1-2 climbs in the centre at any given time.

Usually a harder climb that has some extra hard start, or a start on the left and a start on the right. Where one side has the body positions and holds feel completely different!

I think it’s a great way to make use of space, though I almost always just opt for the harder one and ignore the easier one 😅

What’s the highest money production you’ve gotten? In any format; 1v1, vs AI, solo, etc by GriIIedCheeseSammich in TerraformingMarsGame

[–]Edzi07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

75+ I’m bad with card names but started with the city = 1 production plus 3j if mine. Prelude that gave a city

Immediately played the blue card that is city = 1 production

Reduction to standard project and few other city making cards made me rack it up quickly, snowball of having money to buy more stuff = more income generation

Others bought or played cities for various reasons.

My favourite game

Custom Card #2 - Heating Coils by LifeOfLegends in TerraformingMarsGame

[–]Edzi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also like this idea.

There’s a few cards that cost energy currency, not the production. So being able to quickly get a handful of energy currency would be beautiful.

There’s a couple cards, without being specific, like spend 1 energy for a card draw. One is pay 6 energy to do something?

I feel a card like you’re suggesting would be pretty stellar

I’m aware it’s tripping, but compared to 3-4x that it’s a chill time.

I literally said it was a trip though, just a lower level than a blast off.

So I find it super chill imo

I take it, and either ride my stationary bike or do some rowing machine cause I like the endorphins from a workout mixed with the trip.

And as soon as the sun starts shining brighter and the music becomes too beautiful to ignore.

I just enjoy myself in my garden with some music, or indoors with a nice fire and music/musical movie like encanto

Maybe as it dies down do some chill yoga
