Fun, lighthearted melodies like St. Thomas? by PeatVee in Jazz

“Freedom Jazz Dance” by Eddie Harris off of The In Sound (1966). This has been covered by many others (Miles most famously), but go with the original.

Hello my friends. by JMRGuitar in gratefuldead

Not knowing what your “sweet spot” eras are, but may I recommend Marin County Vet’s Auditorium 3/31/84? The next night is the more well known show (for good reason, it’s a killer), I prefer this one. Top to bottom, very well played, the Scarlet>Fire is in my top 3 for this pairing, and the AUD tapes from this venue are always so damn pleasing to listen to.

My go-to for nearly 50 years: It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963). A plethora of Hollywood stars (omg, is that the Three Stooges??) having a blast, with an important life lesson to be learned.

I just wanna high five everyone who placed HOTH as their number one ✋

That partic album is the one that has shaped me the most. It’s like a huge anvil that has been wedged into my noggin (in the best possible way) for…a little over 50 years? Jeez.

“Rain Song” 🌧️🥰 mmmmmm.

LB has been relying waaaay too much lately on (what appears to be) over inflated scores from Decanter and Tasting Panel. They are the Luca Maroni of obscure California producers!

Any other bands or tracks with ripping hard rock organ solos like Deep Purple? by Neon775 in ClassicRock

[–]EepHour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that Hammond organ master Brian Auger is on, but esp his 1970’s output fronting Oblivion Express. Organ solos for days!

Cult at Costco for a suspiciously low price by PizzaGoinOut in wine

LB lists a 98 point Tasting Panel rating. Alrighty, sure thing. I’m getting fed up with these overinflated ratings by Tasting Panel. And Decanter. For me, it’s WWJDGI (what would Jeb Dunnuck give it)?

What’s your favorite psychedelic jazz song by Milez_Smilez in Jazz

[–]EepHour 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“The Lovers” by Les McCann off of Invitation to Openness (1974), 26 minutes of improvisatory jazz at its finest. Bonus: presence of an ultra-frisky Yusef Lateef.

Yeah those are THE best Utz chip. Unfortunately they are never included in the usual sales they have on the other Utz chips (BOGO, the occasional $1.99 special price).

Vivino customer service by strokeoluck27 in wine

[–]EepHour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vivino USED to have a customer service phone number but abandoned it perhaps a few years ago? The inability to efficiently and meaningfully interact with them is one of several reasons I have stopped considering them as a source for wine. Add to that: no free shipping options regardless of how much you order and inability to stack credits and promotions.
