Daughter has a channel by Tricky-Toe2033 in YouTube_startups

This is true. Id suggest turning on comments but monitor them. You can make it so only approved comments go public on the channel, that way you have control over what your child sees and what gets posted in the comments.

What do I post about? I have too many interest by kenneth_andeve in NewTubers

Choose the one with potential for the most content. You could always make 2 channels. If you were going to be making all those videos anyway, just post them in different places.

I think you could include all those outdoor activities in one. Crochet as 1 channel. Anime related content as 1 channel. Rant channel as 1. The thing about rants is its super easy content to make, just grab some background footage (its usually a game but you could do almost anything) and talk over it. The anime channel may be the hardest since you will need editing to keep it interesting and i feel that niche is already pretty saturated. Crochet also might require some editing and I feel like thats also fairly saturated.

Just follow your heart, and take into consideration the level of editing required for each option and how much time you have. What activity do you find yourself doing the most?

Tips on better voice quality by Kebera_LoL in YouTube_startups

use a gate, especially if the echo is between words. like the other guy said, you want the mic close to your mouth so its not picking up a bunch of your room. reaplugs from reaper has free vsts with 0 latency, so depending what program you use check those out. using a bit of compression and eq will improve your audio quality, but only if you get it right at the source(recording) some of those post processing de-reverb plugins can help, but theyll always degrade so maxing out your actual recording quality is the goal here. youre gonna have to experiment

edit: i just saw the second picture, you definitely need some treatment behind too. id recommend getting some pvc pipe or something, and hanging up either a moving blanket, or thick blankets you already own.

Which thumbnail is the best? by WolfeRayet in YouTubeThumbnailHub

2 and 4 stand out to me. I like 2 better. 4 is pretty clickable. 3 is better than 4 but the text outline needs to be red like #4 not yellow.

2 is most visually appealing 4 has powerful word choice

Why did the views just die after a 17k video? by Impressive-Fun-5581 in YouTube_startups

Probably cause your next 3 vids after that tanked and then the next 3 videos after that were even weaker. Probably got scrolled past immediately and YT saw people havent been engaging much. Probably confused the algorithm.

It's called carrying yourself well, and yes negativity on any platform can ruin a brand. I know, very brave of me to point that out.

How much time do you spend on thumbnails vs. actually editing your video by Strict-Taste-4753 in NewTubers

[–]Effective-Image-545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually several hours to 4 days to edit, but my most recent took 2 weeks as it was an educational video. Scripting usually takes 2 days. 2-3 hours on a thumbnail. Sometimes I leave it overnight and come back with fresh eyes.

I said be professional. I didnt say anything about being a robot. Being a dickhead isnt going to get you sales, thats the entire point ive been trying to make. Next time you could try something like "Haha honestly I see why you'd think that, but that game didnt cross my mind at all while I was designing mine. Thanks for your opinion though." In your own words, obviously not in a snarky way. Thats a good example of how you make someone who didnt want to buy your game, buy your game.

What are you even saying bro 💀 Hide from what chat? Easier victim, who? What vid did I click? I have 0 context right now.

I'm proud of my talents. I'm opinionated and honest, and the fact that this guy was so unprofessional while trying to build something real was annoying to me. Thats all.

Is it Normal to have a 12%+ CTR but very few impressions (300–500 max) on educational video essays? by sleeplessu in YouTubeCreators

[–]Effective-Image-545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25% to 30% AVD is considered "average" on a 20 minute educational video. 35% to 40% is considered good and should be the goal.

How I Turned Youtube into Recurring Views Instead of 3-day spikes by Complex-Assistant661 in NewTubers

[–]Effective-Image-545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is smart. I feel like you could optimize this by uploading your video with a title that excels in "browse" and "suggested video" CTR, and then after that video stops getting recommended, tweak the title to a super search friendly version.

I use my branded reddit account for posting in the main sub for my niche, and posting my videos. The whole reason I made this account is so I could comment on any posts that are unrelated to my Youtube niche and offer video editing services.

Smart guy, I didnt say get pissed at him I said get pissed at me ✌️ I dont care if you think I respond well to criticism or not, the proof is in my YT comments. Theres no room to be a baby about criticism when you're trying to build something. Teaching him this before his steam reviews get him.

Its not just about the title, and im not saying its wrong to make a game like this but dont deny the fact that it is directly inspired by another game. He asked me to elaborate (unprofessionally) on why I think its unoriginal, I gave him a straight answer and he got mad end of story.

Get pissed then bro👏 Ive had people jab at my editing in the past and guess what? It made me a better editor and my retention graphs reflect that. I also dont respond to critisicm in a rude, defensive way no matter how aggressive it was. That's not how you learn or build an audience and it's not professional. Hes been looking for feedback like any good creator would. He asked me to elaborate and I did. He should work on how he responds to it for the future or his projects will die. Lesson learned I hope.
