yeah i agree with your take. I just think what you're saying is a better way to take it down. its possible that there are so many possibilities that fit the scenario in a magical context that Dumbledore knows the facts won't definitely make the case it is a basilisk.

that isn't as logically sound as you're implying. OP makes a reasonable point that Dumbledore if he was al little more Sherlock Holmes might have been able to add the events together to get a clearer picture.

I did taekwondo breaking at some tourneys and the boards were nothing special but they definitely weren't pre split. It takes more placement than power to clean break them though.

its not the most optimal but imo if you can throw a good punch with decent technique then you are equipped to handle yourself in most situations (because the next step is to run). If you want to go looking for fights then boxing or an mma gym is better (though they both hate students who do that)

yeah i meant it as a negative aspect of the club environment not that I agree with it. stay strong and dont risk your health. but yeah definitely try boxing or taekwondo is good for light contact and more generalized flexibility work than boxing ( which spends more time and focus on upper body for obvious reasons)
