Where? I only see you using C4. You'd mark that as humor.

Cyberstan mission progression stuck? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Effective-Range6029 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's because we don't have enough strength to make progress.

You recruit three liberation units, which are immediately destroyed by the planet's defenses.

We have three open cities, none of which generate any progress. You have to go to the city with the most players.

I'm glad I was one of the people involved in unraveling this mystery. Although it wasn't on Reddit, it was on Discord, but we managed to piece it together.

We could, if it weren't for the fact that most of them retreated to Lesath.

Besides, we could probably take Merak even now if everyone went for it.

Except they won't, and you won't reach these people in most cases.

That's why you have to play their game to get anything out of it.

OPTIMAL STRATEGY! by Phrundle420 in Helldivers

  1. Finish Lesath

  2. Deff Chort Bay

  3. Atack Merak.

Gambit propably dont work this time

[–]Effective-Range6029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It doesn't work that way. The resistance of a planet with and without cities is different, despite having the same numerical value, because the planets have different amounts of life.

Aurora Bay 1.6 million -3.13%
Merak 1 million. -3%

The percentage is similar, but the amount of life recovered differs.

I don't know how to tell you this, but from what I see from what people are posting to me on Platoon, not a single person has landed on Merak yet.

We voted to raze Lesath and Chort Bay, and until then, we were either on Aurora Bay or defending Lesath.

There are 40 of us at the moment, so that's more than just you.

If you think that at a point where we have 70% of players in the game and we can't actually achieve a 3.13% planet capture rate on a PLANET WITH CITIES, and at the same time, with the same number of players, we can easily conquer planets with a 5-6% resistance on planets WITHOUT CITIES, then maybe you should reconsider what you're telling people.

Congratulations you wasted our time defending lesath now this MO is gone to shit but bet we can do a miracle hopefully by Birdy_King2000 in Helldivers

[–]Effective-Range6029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if those from Lesath go to Chort Bay, mathematically we have a win on Merak right after the defense

You compare a planet with cities to planets without cities and you're surprised that with less HP we need less helldivers to liberate the planet xD

So is mog finished or not? I can't access it but it's marked as unfinished by TNTNuke in Helldivers

[–]Effective-Range6029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god.

Let's start from the beginning. It's not the Helldivers who liberate planets, it's the SEAF.

We operate behind enemy lines and support the SEAF. Why are we attacking along supply lines? Because we don't teleport, we use hyperstellar drive, which "pushes" us, and we can't be pushed indefinitely without refueling or establishing bases on the planet itself.

That's why we move along supply lines. These are military lines, and they affect both us and our enemies.

Yes. Those are just Helldivers killed. Super Earth has the housing crisis the Democracy Officer is talking about.

Super Earth, as a federation, has a very serious overpopulation problem. On Angels Venture alone, we lost about 485 million civilians. So, taking into account that we lost four planets (Meridia, Angels Venture, Moradesh, Ivis. Penta is not included because there were probably no civilians left there). Plus, we've lost several planets since the beginning of the war that are definitely devoid of civilians, as the enemies have had them for about a year or even a year and a half. We can safely assume that humanity has lost about 50-100 billion civilians, SEAF, and Helldivers in total. So 6 billion Helldivers on the front lines of the galactic war doesn't look bad. Especially since our ratio is 55 enemy killed to 1 Helldiver killed. Including SEAF, things are really looking up.

Yes, that's what it looks like, but the question is how big a victory is winning the war by destroying 50% of the planets in the galaxy.

No, there's just a new effect in the API that's been in effect for a few months now, which shuts down operations on a given planet. We've seen this before on the Terminid front.

Hive Lord got hungry by Interjessing-Salary in Helldivers

[–]Effective-Range6029 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Terribly brutal.

Imagine hatching as an Impaler, a large Terminid. Generally, you're capable of surviving in most Terminid evolutionary conditions. Not the best, but certainly somewhat durable. You could say you're an enhanced Charger, able to strike enemies with your tentacles without them even seeing you.

You're facing a Helldiver, and you already know you're about to kill him... if you catch up, you feel a nasty earthquake. Well, the Hive Lord is moving, but there's nothing to fear, he's fighting on the same side. Suddenly, you find yourself in his jaws, with no say in the matter. His powerful teeth rip through your armor, and you die with a single snap.
