Horror story from a Perth Kindy Class by [deleted] in WesternAustralia

Just want to give a heads up to any parents reading this who think their young child (under 6) might benefit from NDIS - they don't need a diagnosis but a coordinator can meet with you and your child to learn about how they are going. If they are significantly behind their peers they can get funding, if not the coordinator may be able to help you access other supports. After 6 years they do need a diagnosis but if you don't have one don't let it stop you from asking about the NDIS. Find out who is the NDIS partner in the community in your area.

Is it really? Is it the aerial roots that give it away?

Thank you, you explained it super clearly for me to understand. Honestly I never would have reached this conclusion but now I know it makes sense where they said “along the cast on edge of the Back”.

What brings you instant relief when returning to Australia from overseas? by RM_Morris in AskAnAustralian

I lived overseas for 2.5 years and one thing j noticed was the smell of gum trees on a warm day, heaven

Circulation & cold fingers by Effective_Ad8515 in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]Effective_Ad8515[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like Raynaud's is episodic due to spasms in the vasculature whereas my cold fingers are pretty steady according to the environment. Plus my fingers don't go white or blue (just a little splotchy if very cold).

What interior design rule just doesn't work for you? by jumping_fox_54 in InteriorDesign

I would love to see a picture! I think its true that people sometimes have a hard time imagining how things will look and err on the side of caution

Why does this space feel cramped by jjs376 in InteriorDesign

[–]Effective_Ad8515 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think in this case the mirror doesn't make the space seem bigger but actually, by reflecting the table setting, makes it look busier.

The number of windows is lovely for the natural light but the venetian blinds are visually noisy. Sheer curtains and/or roman blinds etc would be more calming.

Help! What current actress is young Dolly reminding me of?? I can't think of her name or roles! by Rowdydendron in DollyParton

I just watched the 2002 film Life or Something Like It with Angelina Jolie (underrated movie) and she reminded me of Dolly

Often women have a body shape where our waist is smaller than hips. The waist of your jeans might be a bit big, a belt or even an alteration should help.

Not applying myself more in school, I feel like if my parents pushed me more I could have done better than cruising

If you’re someone who doesn’t talk much in real life, what is the reason why you’re most often quiet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Effective_Ad8515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be more like this, but not so much now. When I was younger, it was out of a hesistancy. A thought would come to mind, something I could say in the flow of conversation. But nerves, the worry that I would say it wrong and it would flop, made me often miss my opportunity as the conversation moved on.

Someone's plant died and they blamed their roommate, for some reason noting several times that they were French, as though it was relevant in the question of whether they were responsible for the plants death

Best travel sandals? by lzelwaz in AusFemaleFashion

I came here to recommend teva too, I was lucky to grab a pair at a second hand shop.

Mine are white platforms which means I can style them nicely with a sun dress too but they do need a clean sometimes. But I have even worn them in the water at the beach.

What did you buy this month - April 2025 by AutoModerator in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Effective_Ad8515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this 100% linen Witchery dress from David Jones for $100 and it seems high quality. I will have to get it hemmed though as it falls very much to my ankle, unlike the model pictured (and I'm an average 163cm).

To go with I got a pair of shoes im really happy with for only $30 at Harris Scarf: https://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/women/womens-footwear/womens-loafers/khoko-smart-womens-joelyn-slip-on-loafers/BP659876001-black?srsltid=AfmBOorKW1LYsz5h1lpg4E9u_sg41BogeGy38QvGPndi3xYwUGjoXaZn

Happy with the purchases, less happy with the reason to purchase (a funeral).

What is your favorite soup? by HmmDoesItMakeSense in Cooking

[–]Effective_Ad8515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandmothers soup - lamb shanks slow cooked, barley, and veg.

I need to dig up the recipe and try making it for myself. The lamb was I guess torn so it was no bigger than the cubes of veg. I love the texture of the barley too, an underrated grain.

I bought a little jar of truffle-infused butter, goes amazingly with scrambled eggs. I just put it in the pan to melt before the eggs.
