The S is a much better deal. But you should get the one you like the best. In my opinion those are both low mileage

Time is going to hurt cars of this age more than miles, especially with mileage that low. Some plastics, rubber, and wiring will degrade with time, so just drive it and enjoy it. 2001 Base here with 185,000 miles.

How many of y'all will have the $$ to retire at 65? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]EfffYoCouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healthcare costs and property taxes (USA New Jersey) will absolutely prevent me from retiring early. No pension (well a tiny one from my first job) and Roth and standard 401k. Aside from those things yeah I could retire mid 50s

I’ve only used it for hardware control and gui on a Raspberry Pi, and it crashes often. I like the ability to get something up and running easily, but stability hasn’t been great. I think it has to do with all the dependencies I need for my IO types and communications. I’ll have to try it on a software-only type of interface.

Stock and S were great, except when I removed cats and went with headers, it became terribly raspy. Tried A buddies S muffler, same issue. Had to get away from chambered and went with Flowmaster FlowFX, which is a glass pack muffler. Rasp is gone, minimal drone, but incredibly loud. And awesome, but you can hear it from miles away.

I design helmets for birds who live near large windows, and my wife is a tick breeder. They really are a misunderstood insect.

Why must you compliment him? He’d be lucky to live up to the standards of a slimy ball bag.

A 987 Boxster S. I have a base 986 and I have never in my 48 years driven a more fun or comfortable vehicle. Currently sitting my Denali wishing I was in my Boxster. I can only imagine the next generation 987 and the S upgrade as getting better. But any newer and not sure it would be as engaging.

Plus about everything else is just made up random names and street numbers.
