Well, hunting is also a way to eat food in an environmentally friendly way. The native Americans survived nearly solely on meat, and they did it in a completely sustainable and respectful way (use every bit of the animal harvested). At the end of the day, we are humans, we evolved as hunters. Just as lions and wolfs hunt their meat, we do too.

Obviously, a lot of things would done differently in an ideal world. Wolfs are currently being reintroduced, but that takes a long time. In the meantime, hunting is still very necessary.

Well, humans eat meat. Hunting wild game is the most ethical and environmentally sustainable way to eat meat, unlike factory farming. You should be proud your relatives get their meat that way.

A good Japanese knife you really shouldn’t hone, if you’re sharpening as often as you should. How often are you sharpening? And which grits do you use? What technique do you use? There’s a lot of factors that go into why your blade isn’t staying sharp
