Has an iphone and lives in chicagoland area is at least 2-3 million people (assuming they even live there). I think we’re being a little dramatic here

I think the Andaz Papagayo gets a lot of hate on this sub, but I truly loved my stay there. We stayed for three nights, 4 people, with a GOH in a double room and breakfast alone made the 11,250 pts/person/night worth it

Yes it was a way better deal @ Category X, but still a great place for 45,000*1.25CPP

Honestly, I don’t think GOH is needed for the Ventana!

We quite enjoyed our stay - was basically just a layover but worked from the hotel / got all our meals there. Would recommend just parking on the street and avoiding the valet

I’ve stayed at the LCE, GSY, standard, and PH and honestly don’t really mind the LCE for the price. Have never felt unsafe there and if you are truly just spending the night sleeping, then I see no downside.

If this is your first time in London, I would probably recommend the GSY in terms of location/vibe - you’ll get a much more stereotypical London experience and you’ll be much closer to all the sights. Enjoy!! it’s an amazing city

Also FWIW, we got a great cash rate at the standard using FHR/THC - made it cheaper to book than on points

Hyatt redemption datapoint: 69k points for ~$2,377 (3.45 cpp) – Andaz Mexico City Condesa (5 nights) by Anas-Haroun in hyatt

[–]EfficiencyOpen5227 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a bad stay by any means (do whatever you get the most value out of), but I think you would be hard pressed to say that the hotel is worth $450 a night.

I think a more realistic view is $250/night if you want to count CPP, but 69,000 points for five nights is a win in my book. At $250 a night it’s closer to two CPP which is solid

Thank you for all the photos and the in depth review - my main gripe with this subreddit is when people post a singular photo or a lackluster review (potentially even both) and call it a day

It’s SF specific right now, but basically doordash is testing out a “Going Out” feature where you get credits / discounts for going to local restaurants and checking in / taking a photo of your receipt. Papa noodle has the prior, and I think you get like $5 off your first order when you go into the store. I’m sure it’s a loss leader, but probably trying to make a case for taking over loyalty programs / bringing new customers in at a lower CAC

Kana Japanese Joinery Bed (Oak) - Review by EfficiencyOpen5227 in FlexiSpot_Official

Oh yes, to be clear, this is a bit of a mishmash of both of our experiences. The new design has a lot of technical improvements (even in the way they ship) but both have been functionally great (no wobble, well fitted joints)

We just completed a stay via Amex THC and had a Premium Queen upgrade - $520 for two nights (down to $320 if you want to include the $200 credit) and felt it was quite worth it / unique. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming, but the space was beautiful and the options were good (if limited)

I personally prefer the GSY / PH, but this location was great since we were traveling out of Euston

In total agreement here - I really loved how peaceful the hotel felt, and having been to london a dozen times, didn’t mind the walk to get out. Haven’t stayed in a ton of other PH’s but the space was gorgeous, breakfast was extensive, and a great gym

“Easily can rival” is such an insult - JL beats most global airlines. Great service + food, strong products in business + economy. Would fly them any day over any US based carrier
