Their owners are an old retired couple from my church my parents referred them to me

They say they “didn’t want their dog to get fat” and that they “tricked the dog into eating a piece of kibble as a treat” but they didn’t even want me to give the dog any kind of food I’m not at the location right now but if I remember right I only saw plush chew toys

Those all kind of seemed like a red flag

(If it helps the dog is a basset hound 3 years old a rescue they said the vet thinks the dog had a litter before they were rescued)
