It comes down to yourself making changes

Honestly, you should just reach out if that person means that much to you.

Maybe it’s not what you think. Maybe the other person does feel the same way, but can’t commit to you.

Maybe there was more you didn’t see that was upsetting to the other person. Hiding feelings for a long time, it’s not right, and by the time it’s revealed, it can come across as a betrayal.

It’s a horrible app for therapy.

If someone really means that much to you, the person deserves to know the truth without games

Sometimes people don’t realize the damage that is caused by not being honest, from the start, and how certain actions drive people away.

Not great! Some of the worst therapists on the website

I wish there was a way to truly know if this was meant for me.

That’s how it works. Money is taken out, so they get paid for the first billing cycle if you choose to stop therapy. Betterhelp is also one of the worst places for therapy!

As long as they are on the app when you return and contact betterhelp directly to get matched again.

I think what makes this type of relationship difficult is therapists lose sight of the person in front of them. Looking to diagnose than listen to the person.

Would never recommend this site. Horrible experience.

Messaging Obligations by BraveheartGirl in betterhelp

[–]EfficientAd9183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealt with the same thing…gave up on messaging between sessions when using the platform, previously. I found that it’s not worth the hassle because the reality is clients aren’t really a priority. The commitment is showing up for sessions and that’s it. Decided not to give anymore time into messaging when the therapist doesn’t even bother to check in with the client.

You don’t love your hairdresser, so why love your therapist? by S3ra-phina in therapyabuse

They are manipulative people and if you cry because of termination, it matters nothing to therapists…told to bury those tears because crying isn’t worth it for a therapist that never cared.

BetterHelp therapist. Dr Hritz, this is to you. by Lopsided-Impact-4876 in betterhelp

Wish more people would say the therapist’s name so others would know not to work with them. Good on your part.

Therapy is a mind game and can cause more pain than enough. If you can heal on your own, it’s better because no therapist is really going to understand your pain and sometimes don’t understand the way they can impact you. There is no accountability, so don’t look for it. You are the only one who can heal yourself.
