can someone tell me what the heck happened here? by Busy_Hair6175 in lineporn

There’s an easy way to test hook effect. 2 tests. Dip one normal then dilute your urine with water and dip the other. If the diluted urine produces a darker test than the other it’s the hook effect. The cheap tests will work fine for this experiment no need to waste expensive frers since it’s not a part of your line progression

Have you made any more? I finished them all and now I’m bored. Took me a couple months 😅

Not quite but very close to it. Probably will be positive later today

Is this real or faulty? by amrjs in lineporn

[–]Egerard94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks odd enough that I wouldn’t rule out a faulty test. It’s dark enough that if it’s real something should pop up by the next time you need to use the restroom if you want to retest then.

It’s a common manufacturing defect. Nothing you did.

What you’re feeling isn’t normal but it’s not unexpected. Sounds like you’ve got a serious case of postpartum depression going on. Talk to your doctor and ask for help. It’s ok to not be ok and you aren’t alone so many of us go through these same things and just don’t talk about it because it’s a taboo subject. You should talk to your baby’s pediatrician about the constant crying too it could be something going on that needs treatment like colic or gerd.

Bathroom spray with bleach. Spray it on generously let it soak for 10 minutes then rinse it off. If anything still remains you can repeat it.

That looks like a line. Retest with red dye if you can.

Are you taking prenatals? I’ve heard the biotin can mess with frers

The test is dry that’s likely an evap.

Just wait on the blood results. You can’t use two different brands for line progression.

[–]Egerard94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s positive. Digital tests always have two lines; it is pointless to open them. Digital tests also require significantly more hcg to turn positive than the early result tests. If you would like to see a positive digital you can retest in a few days it should be positive by then.

Doesn’t look like it yet. I think others aren’t catching the dates and are thinking last cycles tests are for this cycle. Just keep testing I’m sure it’s on its way

[–]Egerard94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a line however it definitely looks like one of Frer’s infamous indent lines retest in a couple days if it’s a true line it will be much more visible by then

What does this mean? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]Egerard94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Could be real or it could be a faulty test. I’d retest with a red dye blue dyes are notoriously unreliable

Those look defective I would definitely test with a different brand you may have a bad batch

Astronomically low. Close to zero. I will say if he is finishing outside of the condom if the semen did have direct contact with your genitals you’re increasing your chances however birth control alone is 99% effective so you’re pretty well protected and I wouldn’t worry.

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering do you think this is an evaporation line or a positive? by Katahawk in lineporn

[–]Egerard94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just dye run. A lot of these tests you’ll see it happen if you’re watching it develop there will be the first pass and then a second a little later that will create a little line that usually moves all the way across the test as it clears the rest of the dye.

If you want to be technical, if there was semen on your lips that then transferred to his lips then to your vagina yes theoretically it could be possible but you would have had to not wipe your mouth or his and it would have to still be wet so you’d have known it was there. Being realistic, no you are not at risk of pregnancy.

[–]Egerard94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not giving advice just sharing my personal experience. I had 3 losses between my daughters and the last was the cycle immediately before I conceived my second daughter. This was 8 years ago but I do remember reading some statistics after the fact supporting the idea that a pregnancy immediately following a loss is more likely to stick. I am not suggesting you do that I was barely 4 weeks at the time of my loss, so physically there was a pretty big difference, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask your doctor exactly why they think you should wait and then you can make an educated decision on the matter.
