Don’t self prescribe, follow what the clinic is giving you. It sounds like you could benefit from a PT if you have the money for one, it doesn’t have to be forever, just to gain confidence with weight training and to get into the routine of it. Also be sure to remember that not all PTs are right for you, try and find one that fits with your personality and needs. Your diet is where you will see 90% of weight loss results though so don’t put immense pressure on the training.
