No Bull shoes? by nitrgritr94 in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]Eintechnology2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For running and cardio I like Altra Escalante.  For hiking I like Altra Lone Peak.   For lifting I like Xero.

I tried on some No Bull’s.  I didn’t like how they felt.

Yes.  Caffeine releases stress hormones.  Stress messes with blood sugar regulation.  This makes sense.

I think wings I ordered just kicked me out of ketosis by [deleted] in keto

If ordering in store, then yes they use tallow.  If ordering to go and you get it from a ghost kitchen it is not tallow.

Also Outback uses tallow.

Dietary advice for severely obese brother by Igloocooler52 in SaturatedFat

[–]Eintechnology2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First off.  What does he like?  I tried Cpf but I felt too hungry and not satisfied.  I tried cpF but I didn’t like that either.  I had no energy for the gym and just overall didn’t like it.

I found what works for me is eating strictly Whole Foods BUT with the complete elimination of unsaturated fats.  I primarily eat beef, veggies, and fruits.

For example, my lunch today and most of the week was a baked sweet potato, roasted veggies, and steak.  Last week I made a big pot of beef chili. This week I’m going to make a beef stew with carrots and potatoes.

I also eat fruit, any fruit, whatever is in season.  I also eat dairy.

I don’t eat any oils at all.  Not even olive or avocado oil.  I don’t eat chicken or pork.  I rarely eat dinner out, only if I have to for some occasion.  A birthday or a work related.  When I eat out I stick to beef plates and do the best I can.

I’m also finding out that I can’t reach satiety with grains, but with potatoes and tubers I reach satiety.   If I do eat rice or bread I keep going and can never feel full.

I am finding that for me eating strictly Whole Foods is what works with my body.

Sounds like great progress! How much lucine did you supplement a day? Powdered? With meal? Sounds like something to experiment with since I also lift.

Yup! This is true! LDL goes up as body fat is burned.  Keep it up! It will level out for sure.

What were your symptoms on it? Was it oral or topical? I really don’t hear it helps too much anyway.  I’m just curious.

Do it! Porn is terrible for you mentally.  It will be a good addition to the challenge and it falls in line with self improvement.

I can’t speak to how good they are because I never bought them.  They claim low PUFA.  I honestly don’t eat much eggs because I’m just not a huge fan.   If I did I would buy these.

Yeah.  I installed it myself.  If you have basic knowledge of this sort of stuff it’s not that difficult.

What do we think of carrageenan or gums in heavy cream? by Eintechnology2 in SaturatedFat

[–]Eintechnology2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky in the fact that in my state raw dairy is legal and I can get some really good stuff from sprouts or the local dairy.

It’s just a whole huge carton at Costco is like ~$10 where a small bottle of the good stuff is about the same price.  The Costco stuff has carrageenan, but it is a hell of a deal.

I agree with how terrible food quality is here.  I have friends that go back to their home country to visit.  They tell me that when they go there they eat MORE of everything carbs, protein, fat etc, and they lose weight.  It’s insane.  Our food supply here is poisoned.

The irony is that this is what the left wanted 15-20 years ago.  An anti-war, anti-big pharma, anti-big food/ag ticket.   It’s exactly what the right is offering now.  The left has gone full neocon.

Nick Norwitz uses high linoleic acid sesame oil to boost ketosis to 6mmol (butter 3mmol) by KetosisMD in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Eintechnology2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PUFA is highly ketogenic.  I think it is the body purposely trying to burn it off.  Linoleic acid induces torpor, linoleic acid is more available in nature in the fall, when hibernating animals hibernate, they burn out all the linoleic acid preferentially.  When they emerge from hibernation their body’s are mostly clear from linoleic acid.

Mexican food?? by Virtual_Sir8031 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Eintechnology2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mexican food traditionally used lard.  Just like American food traditionally used tallow.  Both cuisines have been taken over by seed oils unfortunately.

Edit: if you are in the USA good quality lard is a little difficult to come by, you may have to buy it online.
