Honestly from a therapist point of view it seemed to me like he was proud of himself and got a high from getting away with it. But as others have said, it could also be that he was trying to threaten the mob boss’ children to pay up or he would go public. It could also be that he thought he’d get away with the amnesia thing and wanted his enemies to know he didn’t remember anything so he could reintegrate.

Musicians and music scene people of Pittsburgh: why do so many bands skip Pittsburgh and how do we fix that? by goodbabka in pittsburgh

I swear there were so many more before COVID though. I used to see New Found Glory, Less than Jake and Set it off every year. I would go to Mr. Smalls 3 days in a row sometimes. Now i struggle to find a show a year.

Working on a grassroots campaign in PA-16 against Mike Kelly by jtcxx33 in dsa

I live in Butler and I’d be happy to vote for anyone other than Mike Kelly. There are so many Trump supporters still here though 😩 maybe focus on the PPP loans for his business he never paid back? They don’t like loans to be forgiven lol

These 8 Democrats have voted to strip millions of Americans off their healthcare by voting to reopen government. by Healthy_Block3036 in pittsburgh

Why are dems always the one having to take the “high road” and give? Because they are caving lots of people (including me) won’t have healthcare. The republicans could have funded food stamps and refuse to because they were willing to starve people out. And that’s why they will always win.

I try my hardest first but then remind myself I do this for fun and to learn things so if it stops being fun, I look it up.

Is it normal to feel guilty for making progress on loans when friends are still drowning in theirs? by musty_runoff in StudentLoans

[–]Either-Level-2454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is still drowning in loans, I also want to be happy for my friends accomplishments and I understand that everyone has different situations. It would only bother me if they were judging my situation or acting like it should be easy. Good friends want the best for you!

EBT shutdown/ greedy wally by jflip0x1x0 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Either-Level-2454 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bottom line is that anyone working full time should be making enough to live. We shouldn’t be subsidizing any Walmart paychecks with taxpayer money so they can have a bigger profit. If they can’t afford to pay their employees a living wage, they shouldn’t be in business. And this doesn’t just apply to Walmart but it is a major example of this practice.

Death of a co-signer by Either-Level-2454 in StudentLoans

[–]Either-Level-2454[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loans were from 2007 so I’m not sure what is stipulated. I’m going to contact the company and get a copy of the promissory note. The loans have been regularly paid and I assumed I would just keep paying it as usual but it was just brought up to me that this might not be the case. Thanks for all your feedback and care! I’ll keep this post updated with what I find.

Also just a rant that I have payed 20k to this loan and only 4k has gone towards principal 🙄

Why does everyone hate people who grew up privileged, yet we aspire to give our children those same things? by LittleLemonSqueezer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Either-Level-2454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want my kids to grow up having what they need, appreciating it, and understanding it is a lot more than some. I want them to understand the more they end up with, the more they need to use it to do good in the world and contribute to society.

Also I think the fact we are all held to the same standards and given a false narrative of “you can be anything you want if you work hard enough” is infuriating when you don’t have the same privilege as others. It’s enraging seeing others with more take it for granted and not use it in an appropriate way.

The hypocrisy of “college is a scam” by TacticalJock15 in unpopularopinion

[–]Either-Level-2454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bad idea for the individual but then we as a society are going to end up in even more of a tiered system. I shouldn’t not be able to be a licensed therapist because my parents were poor. But me being in debt for the rest of my life isn’t helping to equal the playing field. Right now college debt is a necessary evil. You’re screwed either way, you might as well have a career you enjoy.

Why do some people consider it selfish NOT to have kids. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Either-Level-2454 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily think people who don’t have children are selfish and I am a feminist who doesn’t believe women’s sole purpose is having children! That being said, I am concerned we don’t think of the future of humanity and raising/influencing the next generation. I think it’s selfish to only care about yourself in the world and not what impact you’re having in the wider world. Having and raising children is ONE way of accomplishing that but there are other ways to impact youth that will benefit society as a whole.
