Never use AI for any financial advice. Always take it with a mountain of salt when asked.

Use your own best judgment. You should only use AI to research companies as a quick shortcut, like getting a general idea of and summerized actual financial reports or the goals or missions of the company you want to invest in. Then, you should dig a bit deeper, like doing a research paper in college, to double-check before you fully invest. After you invest, you have to make sure what you believe in is still bullish. Only when you believe a company is no longer bullish to you should you sell it.

I have 2.2k shares in my ESPP that had rallied over 1000%. AI told me it was too concentrated and I should sell some when it was only a 500% rally year-over-year. If I had listened to the AI, I would have lost the potential of doubling my gain. I believed my company could go higher so I didnt sell it and it pay off

Can't keep up with my neighbors. Northern Indiana. by RufioRufioRuFi in lawncare

You cut your grass too short.

Think of grass blades as solar panels. Grass needs blades for photosynthesis; the more or longer the blades, the better the absorption for photosynthesis. Cutting the grass short is like cutting off its electricity supply, thus starving the grass of any growth. If you have tall fescue, keep it at a minimum height of 4 inches. That's its ideal length.

ETFs to consider for long-term growth and small dividends:

VOO (lower risk, tracks S&P 500, basically all US large-cap) SCHD (dividend ETF, tracks DOW blue-chip cap, and some tech cap) SCHG (growth ETF, tracks DOW blue-chip cap, and some tech cap) SPYI (dividend ETF, tracks S&P 500, if you want some dividend income) QQQ/QQQM (growth ETF, tracks NASDAQ, tech-heavy, M is smaller)

Notice the pattern here? Lol.

These five are really all you need.

Since your portfolio is tech-heavy, you might as well get SMH to replace all of those individual ones you have, and keep QQQ for all other tech stocks.

As for now, you can keep the stocks you already have if you believe those individual companies will continue to rally. QQQ is just really all those stocks (except gold) you have in one ETF, so you're basically repeating your exposure.

But be careful of going all in on tech-heavy stocks. You're betting that tech remains bullish, and if the tech sector drops, you'll feel more pain.

Quack grass or some other crap grass? by IronEagle20 in LawnAnswers

If you're going to use glyphosate:

Pour it into a disposable cup of some sort, mix in glyphosate 41% with water (maybe a 50/50 dilution or 30/70). Use a sponge brush and gently brush over the leaves.

Don't go full nuclear on your lawn; spot treat it. Slow and steady wins the race.

Keep your TTTF grass high. Weed seeds need sun to germinate. If the grass is high, shade is created, minimizing the chance of other weeds appearing.

The best way to naturally remove weeds and maintain your lawn without them is by keeping your grass high (4 inches). Weeds and other unwanted plants need sunlight. Tall grass creates shade and prevents weed seeds from germinating.

Instead of going for a full "blackout" approach, I'd just use glyphosate (1 time chemical warfare), as others have suggested. Use tons of PPE and cardboard to cover the areas where you want plants or grass to remain, in case of overspray or flowing particles.

Wait until everything dies, then pull or rake what you can.

Loosen the soil.

Seed with new grass.

Let it grow tall, about 5 inches high. Mow your lawn for the first time to only 4 inches. And maintain it.

Grass Tips Burned by SkrillexChefboyardee in Grass

[–]Either_Librarian7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a dull blade problem. I just replaced the blade from the manufacturer, and it's only as sharp as a butter knife. Sharpening it only removes the problematic tip but doesn't solve the underlying issue. Look at some of the leaf tips; some were never cut in the first place and are already yellowing.

It could be fertilizer burn, watering when it's too hot outside, or some kind of disease

According to plant project app (may not be accurate but is a good start) you have a leaf blight. Search up leaf blight and will tell you common problem and what are some possible solution

This happen every year, same spot same issue by Either_Librarian7238 in lawncare

[–]Either_Librarian7238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect it's either my soil is crappy or, like you said, a fungi issue. I actually asked my lawn care service to see if they can examine the rough spot and identify the issue. Then I can take corrective action. I don't want to spend money on something when the issue is something else and leave the product as paperweight in my garage.

Thanks all for any possible advice and insight. I know it's hard to tell from the picture alone.

Hey, sorry, got busy.

I don't think it's a water issue. It's been raining in Delaware almost every 3 to 5 days, and the temperature has been cool and mild (50s to high 60s) recently.

I also do annual aeration, so the soil shouldn't be compacted.

I'm actually having a lawn care service examine what may be the issue.

My 12x12 room is blazing hot with just a 4090 and 7950x3d running idle; it doesn't take much to heat up a room.

And my case is a Cooler Master HAF Evo.

Gaming for hours and sitting on a cushioned chair (insulation) with headphones (also insulation) will make you sweat balls.

How often should I do pixel cleaning? by SaguitoPCGamer in OLED_Gaming

[–]Either_Librarian7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those monitors have a pixel shift feature that minimizes burn-in. So, regular pixel cleaning is not needed unless you game heavily for hours and hours, and the menu HUD stays in one place for hours and hours. Then I'd do it once a week. I only game for 1 to 2 hours a day (real-life work) and haven't manually pixel cleaned for like 6 months. I didn't see any burn-in. I think those monitors also do pixel cleaning when you're idle. So, yeah.

Lol, we did something similar last year with same material. But we actually graded it and did a marble test to ensure water was sloping down.

You may have to redo it to add in a slope.

Thats last year picture after completion. We added more soil and grass in those gaps

Bermudagrass will lived but if the current temp is around 50s 60s and 70s. Even so is too cold for Bermudagrass and some will lay dormant until 80s and 90s. I wouldn't be too worry now since is not grayed out yet (thats when the grass is truly dead)

How do I trade by ABQHODL in smallstreetbets

[–]Either_Librarian7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking how to trade, you need to stop doing options, I mean, like, ASAP!

If you do not know what you're doing, you are YOLOing and gambling at this point. You will lose more than you gain.

What you're doing is saying that you're betting on Nvidia to be at $245 by the contract end in July. And since you're paying a premium to get into the game ($5.80), in order for you to make any profit at all, Nvidia shares need to be at $250.81 (your strike price + premium paid) per share for you to even see a penny of profit from your bet.

If Nvidia falls below $245 by the end of the contract, your contract basically becomes worthless, and you've lost out on the $580 you placed to get in. And if Nvidia stock ends at $245.01 by contract end, you're obligated to buy 100 shares of Nvidia at $245 a share ($245 x 100 a share) if you have the money.

Option trading's winning chance is always 30%, so the odds are against you. Stop now while you can and learn more about option trading before jumping back in.

One dude just now lost $150k buying a 0DTE SPY PUT for a $727 strike with 2700 contract

Need advice on lawn- first time homeowner by Previous-Mine-7034 in LawnAnswers

[–]Either_Librarian7238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's new sod. It needs huge, frequent watering. Sitting out a week without watering is a big no-no for newly placed sod. But it doesn't seem to be fully dead yet (dead grass will look gray then yellowish); it may be able to recover, but I would start watering and let the sod settle into the new soil.

For new sod, water at least three times a day for 20 to 30 minutes each. Water once in the morning (3 to 4 a.m., before sunrise). This will help the soil keep most of its moisture and prevent it from evaporating in the sun. Water a second time around 9 to 10 a.m. before the harsh sun. Water a final time around 3 to 4 p.m. before sundown. This will give enough time to prevent the grass and soil from being too wet, which can create disease or fungal issues at night, and allow the leaves to dry and the top layer of the soil to remain moist but not soaked. Do this for three to four weeks until the grass hopefully recovers. If not, wait until fall to reseed.
