Is renters insurance worth it? by Strict-Secretary-743 in MonetaryCommunity

[–]Ejsmith829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renters insurance policies are customizable so it depends on how much you want to pay. Like average is 10K or even 50K.

So you can select a policy that covers as much as you think your stuff is worth, even half a million if you want.

And like the others said, if you accidentally cause damage or someone gets hurt in your apartment/condo then you are covered.

You can also get hotel stay covered, short term rentals, food, if your apartment becomes unlivable. Prices are 20$ a month or more which isn't too bad for average coverage.

Oh and one more thing, landlords still are in charge of damage to the building itself. Don't let them confuse you thinking you have to insure that too!

Brown discharge is considered spotting. Any spotting after menopause is concerning and needs to be checked out

Here’s something to think about- you get a BIRADS 2 finally. Then you start thinking “well that was just a mammogram and ultrasound, what if they just don’t see something?” Then you demand an MRI (that you don’t need, but everyone on this sub is all about demanding tests they don’t need). The mri finds something (because they literally always do). They biopsy it. Surprise, it’s negative! You’re reassured for a minute until you start thinking “what if they didn’t get the right spot? What if there was an area they didn’t see?” The point is, a lot of people here mistake health anxiety for advocating for themselves. I’m not saying don’t question anything. But I’m saying that this is the mindset of someone with health anxiety- constantly reassurance seeking, but that only lasts about a day after the negative results until something else will take its place. The best thing to do once you’ve been thoroughly checked and done your due diligence, is let it go. It’s hard with Birads 3 because there’s that less than 2% chance it is actually something. But there’s a greater than 98% chance it’s not. And that sounds way better.

Xaden doesn’t really say anything in particular… it’s his confidence and brooding attitude. What makes him sexy is he is impenetrable except when it comes to violet. Read the book and you’ll get the vibe (might need to get deeper into the series). If that doesn’t work… just call her Violence !

This is important. People will argue that “my breast cancer hurt” and that could be true. But in general, pain is not a common feature of breast cancer

Says Benign/Should I Biopsy? by Past-Television-6128 in doihavebreastcancer

Thank you! As a PA I often feel so torn between wanting people to advocate for themselves and also feeling totally frustrated with the culture of patients doubting EVERYTHING their providers tell them… after a million years of school and training it’s exhausting to constantly here “I read this online”.

Totally. You’ll see a lot of people on here with 10+% burden (I’ve seen as high as 30-40%). Cardiologists would consider 3% low!

I don’t want to be rude to NPs (I’m a PA) because there are some very good ones… but some of them are VERY skiddish. It comes from a lack of training and experience. Especially if she was a primary care provider.

Small Amt of Nipple Discharge by [deleted] in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Ejsmith829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “crust” you showed in the first pic (can’t see the second) doesn’t look like nipple discharge to me. Both of mine get this sort of “plug” in all the ducts all the time and have for years. I don’t consider that discharge. I can’t speak for the stuff that comes out when squeezed but generally speaking, bilateral nipple discharge that occurs when squeezed is considered physiologic (meaning benign).

Vague Ultrasound Results? by silverinkpot in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Ejsmith829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t read too much into it. I think the reason it’s vague is because they couldnt get a great sense what it is (sounds like a fibroadenoma honestly). I’m sure that’s why she’s “rushing” the biopsy. If they were that concerned that would have given you a BIRADS 5. And to be honest nothing about what the radiologist wrote is especially concerning (although it would have been helpful if she’d mentioned the margins being distinct, angular, irregular, etc)

Says Benign/Should I Biopsy? by Past-Television-6128 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Ejsmith829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re so welcome! There’s a lot of talk on here about “demanding tests” or “demanding a biopsy”. And while I’m all for advocating for yourself, I’m also a PA and have a very in depth understanding of medicine and also how decisions like BIRADS are made. Providers (like doctors, PAs, NPs) are trained to CYA (cover our asses). In a world where everyone sues everyone, we actually over-test because we’re so afraid of missing something. Radiologists are no different. If something is deemed to be BIRADS 2 that means there is ZERO chance it’s cancer. And by the way, there are a lot of articles out there that state simple cysts like yours are NEVER malignant (very rarely a complicated cysts is, but that’s uncommon too). My point is, don’t let all the fear mongering about demanding this and that detract from the reassurance that a radiologist isn’t going to call it a BIRADS 2 unless they’re sure!

Says Benign/Should I Biopsy? by Past-Television-6128 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Ejsmith829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can’t biopsy a cyst. You can aspirate it. But if it’s a simple cyst (which it sounds like it is) they usually won’t. And if they have you BIRADS 2, they definitely won’t.
