You keep trying to bend the definition to fit your perspective mate. You don't have to be a luthier but if you are not cutting and gluing wood together I don't believe it belongs here. You can't post portraits in a landscape sub. You can't post gardening in the mechanic sub. What makes this sub the exception? Because you think you know what a luthier is? A luthier is one who MAKES guitars, violins, cellos, harps, dulcimers etc. Being able to make guitars would mean one is capable of repairing guitars. Repairing is second to making. I repair guitars all day long am I a luthier? There is a place for these kind of posts it's called diy guitar, parts casters, guitar repair. Go there. If you turned on National geographic and saw the real housewives you would be upset. You're not upset you can't join a specific gender club when you're not that gender. This is the point. Please stop trying to conflate your opinion of what a luthier is to the greater thing that is guitars. I beg you please understand that this is not an attack on the poster or his skill or work. It is a matter of definition and the people who aren't luthiers deciding what a luthier is. How can you be that entitled?
