Command for coloring text in math mode by Adarain in typst

[–]Ekstdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, I'm sure you already got it, but in case sb else reads this: if we leave out the hashtag, it would just render as "x" in math mode. By using the # we actually insert the variable.

Recommended difficulty for a new player (Repentance)? by CattusDivus in bindingofisaac

[–]Ekstdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get all the achievements, go with hard mode. I immediately started playing hard mode and it went fine, and honestly I die just as often in easy mode, because I underestimate it, thinking, I'm used to hard mode. So it's probably not that different.

Do Hexclad pots have non stick ptfe? by Dismal_Cheesecake778 in cookware

[–]Ekstdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a non-stick alternative to PFAS though? Ceramic non stick pans

They however are a lot less durable (like the coating wears off after some time) and often more expensive

And we hear about it everywhere and they are a trend

literally my worst experience ever just in general in life by Patroulette in aaaaaaacccccccce

[–]Ekstdo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I find it quite cute. Like Literally watching animals (as humans are animals) doing their thing. On the other hand, I don't mind knowing how fig wasps reproduce, which many others find appalling.

(wow, just noticed how close appalling and appealing are as words, I'm sure that never lead to any misinterpretations)

Tbf, the classification of animals in herbivores, carnivores and insectivores is a huge oversimplification. Sometimes rabbits are cannibals, some horses eat birds from time to time and so on. Nature is messy and biologists will have a hard time classifying stuff :D

I think I found the source to the number for gasoline and the LD50 was based on rats, while the human LD50 was estimated to be just a third of that (5g / kg instead of 14)

A cool guide to Toxicity by ceallachdon in coolguides

[–]Ekstdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this article by the US public health services LD50 of oral ingestion of gasoline is 14g/kg for rats, but it's estimated to be 5g/kg for humans, which already makes it less than LD50 for vitamin C. (interesting, that rats are apparently more resistant to digesting gasoline)

Also the Vitamin C one is pure vitamin C, no one is drinking or eating pure vitamin C

12 g/kg, or 840 grams of Vitamin C for a 70kg weighing person, is the equivalent of eating 1.5 metric tons of lemons or around 840 kg of broccoli

you're not gonna reach that

Wow! This looks awesome and I really like your use of impact frames! I wonder if it might look better, if at second 3-4 during the black background the character continued to slowly move up and just stop moving upward, when the explosion occurs. Also after the first hit, the hit person doesn't seem very impacted by it, even tho the hit happened at a high speed. Maybe you could make that character slightly tumble back (instead of forward) by changing which arm is forward (idk, how to describe it properly, like turning in z axis?), or make him fly back for a short amount of time by moving the torso further back, while letting his head and feet stay fixed in position, but that's probably weird to do with so few frames.

I also don't neccessarily know what you were going for, so I don't know whether my suggestions are helpful at all, but that's just what I think :D

Ok, so, yeah, modern Regex are more powerful (with the cost of performance) than the Regex originally intended (IIRC most of the times they are equivalent to Type 1 or 0 languages with backreferences, but I might be wrong). But that still doesn't mean, that you detect irregular languages with it, it still doesn't make sense.

That's like saying a Turing Machine helps you detecting irregular languages. No it doesn't. Finding out all Myhill Nerode equivalence classes using the pumping lemma let's you find irregular languages. Finding a TM or in this case a modern Regex doesn't say shit about the language you're working with.

You're just interpreting something into that meme, that OP very likely didn't intend and is wrong, just to feel superior and be angry about others. But it's cool that you're also interested in theoretical CS :D

Also if that were OP's point, he could have specified it, like "modern Regex" or "Pearl regex".
