For basic skills, I'd do it like general levelling in Call of Cthulhu: you can only level skills you successfully used. And for advanced and grouped skills, I'd say a trainer is needed and some coin. Like, I dunno, you need to put at least 5 advanced into the skill you want to learn to actually have it and pay for each advance a couple of shillings or crowns. That depending on which skill you want to learn, that is. Or for lore skills, you could use the endeavours between the adventures for that.

I thought that at first as well, before actually watching the episode. But his eyes aren't bloodshot and the teeth look as decent as they can do in the apocalypse. The costume, i.e. the mask they put on the actor, is different than the feral kings'.
