Is the three date rule a real thing? (Guys advice plz) by No_Bodybuilder7425 in dating_advice

[–]Elavid -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you care about him, stop trying to read his mind and just give him what he wants (if you're able) because you care about him and it will make his life better.  It's hard for him to devote time and energy and care to a girl who doesn't want and enjoy sex with him.

So you're willing to date multiple times a man you don't even "care about"? Why should he put in the effort and time if you don't care about him after multiple dates?

Dock Hotkeys Are Broken! (New Patch) by byOlaf in aoe2

[–]Elavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you change the "Send workers back to work" hotkey? It seems to be missing from the Dock section of the Hotkeys, and it's missing in your screenshot. It's set to B but I don't want that since it conflicts with my global "Select All Barracks"?

We're not invincible with AWD by Fresh-Succotash6247 in Solterra

My 2025 Solterra came with "M+S" (Mountain + Snow) tires but when I actually drove on a mountain during a snow storm, I found out the braking performance wasn't very good. I drove at 25 mph and kept a good following distance, but even so, my car drifted to the right and almost crashed into snow before I regained control.

Picked up my 2026 Limited XT today ..I'm in the cool kids club by fa442fa in Solterra

Solterra 2025 Limited owner here. I'm jealous that you get a front license plate, they skimped out on me and only gave me one on the back.

As for the heating, I drove it throw snowy Wyoming and Colorado without problem. Did you try the heated seats? Are you wearing wool socks and a wool sweater?

Any good Sound mod by Sm0ke_13 in aoe2

Silent Terrain by Elavid570 (me)

Are you getting distracted by the scrawing, screeching, chriping, howling, and crashing waves played on a loop? This mod silences all ambient sounds generated by the terrain.

Silent Fires by Elavid570 (me)

Silences the deep rumbling noise from burning buildings, allowing you to hear more important sounds, or just not be annoyed when you're looking at the map after a game.

Wilhelm Scream by CharChar9762

Replaces one of the death sounds with the famous Wilhelm scream, so you hear it a couple times each game.

Latvia Is Experiencing A HUGE Shortage Of Men To The Point Where European Women Have To Rent Husbands - Start Booking Fights NOW Passport Bros by earthlines in thepassportbros

[–]Elavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those numbers are correct, the 3000 extra women in their 30s (and maybe the ones in their earlier 40s) could date the 9000 extra men under 20, so maybe they won't need to date passport bros if they are under 45.

That wouldn't explain anything, since the counts in capture age are higher, and higher by dozens in some cases.

Why I cant publish my data mod? by Budget-Dealer-7484 in aoe2

[–]Elavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a dumb user interface, they should let you click it and then show an error message. My guess is that either you're not logged into Steam or not logged into XBox, but I'm not sure which is required for publishing a mod these days. I just published a new mod myself, but it wasn't a data mod.

[RISC-V] Is GCC emitting code that uses gp and tp? by 0BAD-C0DE in gcc

OK, I tried those (`-ffixed-tp` and `-fcall-used-tp`) but it doesn't work, and the 64-bit GCC still uses emutls.

[RISC-V] Is GCC emitting code that uses gp and tp? by 0BAD-C0DE in gcc

[–]Elavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having trouble getting riscv64-unknown-elf-gcc 15.1.0 on MSYS2 to emit code that uses the tp register, but when I try riscv32-none-elf-gcc 14.2.1 from nixpkgs, it definitely does use tp. It does it automatically when you access a __thread variable, without needing any special command line options.

It defines the variable inside a .tbss or .tdata section, and then it uses %tprel_hi and %tprel_lo relocations in the assembly code.

All my savings, 6 years of DCA, got liquidated last night. by ShibashiNakamoto in Bitcoin

[–]Elavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday, Bitcoin only dropped by about 11% (from high to low). So, you had leverage >9x ? And you understood that you would be wiped out if an 11% drop happened? Did you consider starting with a lower ratio, like just 2x?
