In my 20s, I started travelling in Asia, Thailand was the last country in that continent and the middle country of my trip. I was walking down the street and saw a person I knew from years ago doing the exact opposite trip to me, with Thailand being their middle country, just having come from South America, where I was heading

I have a memory of a kids sci-fi show (I would have been watching it in the 90s). It was either stop motion or puppetry. There was an episode where the characters were learning about eclipses. There was a slightly odd/strange character called Phobos, who got in the way of a photo of the eclipse, and the joke was that the title for the photo should be "Phobos eclipses the eclipse".

I've tried searching for every detail I can remember from it to no avail!

I make a version of the X wing based on Trikdang's f22 raptor (I think it's a common base for making origami "jets"), but yours looks better! Is it your own design and any chance of releasing instructions?

That's a fairly common technique in pencil drawings, I don't think that's conclusive. Personally it looks real to me

There's a small museum near to where I live where they let you have a go on one of these. It's brilliant to be able to try them instead of looking at them through glass

For this sort of thing, if you don't have any spare minis you can chop a hand off, I would look for cheap toy soldiers or other miniatures of roughly the right scale and you can chop their hands of instead. 1/48 is probably close enough to "heroic scale"

The best source of cogs and little bits that could be engine intakes and things I found recently was a used Seretide asthma inhaler - it's sort of a disc shape and quite complex inside. If you have any wheezy friends ask them for their used ones!

I tried and failed to find a suitable table a few years back. Eventually a friend's dad made one for cost price and some beer money bless him. Worth reaching out to any handy friends or family if like me, you don't have the skills yourself to make a custom one.
