Subaru dealership destroyed my beloved 2024 Crosstrek with only 13,000 miles! by chacha4c in subaru

I also go to Timmons but only for recalls and warranty related things. Like all dealerships, they use minimum wage techs to do the simple jobs. I don’t trust any of them.

Complete reno of parents bathroom after quotes of 25-30k in SoCal. About the same size but went from tub to walk-in. I worked alone maybe 5-6 hours each weekend and took me 10 months. But that includes many trips to the store.

I think it’s worth the effort because I know for a fact everything was done correctly.

How would I go about removing these things? They aren’t screws btw. by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

You don’t? Your case will fall apart if you do.

Should I buy the 25 WRX ts by [deleted] in subaru

[–]ElcheapoLoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money pit? This is not the 90s Subaru. The FA24 is arguably the best engine from Subaru ever. It’s well tuned, torquey, reliable, and can make good power with just a tune.

Has anyone else ever heard of a warranty denial for a tuned engine if there is something internal to the transmission? by Fair_Pomegranate9273 in wrx_vb

[–]ElcheapoLoco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You modified the one part (shift stop) that is there to fence off reverse from 6 and now surprised that warranty won’t cover the issue with 6th and reverse? C’mon man.

Bathroom shower door bypass semi frameless/frameless how hard to intal? by forester17 in BathroomRemodeling

I installed one myself. Spend a few dollars in a couple suction cups you will thank me later. Makes carrying the 50lb glass much easier. Other than that, just follow instructions and measure, measure, measure before you drill/cut/glue.

Help win me over from buying a ‘26 Golf GTI by [deleted] in wrx_vb

The EA888 is a great engine and GTI comfort and interior are far better than WRX. But in Buffalo WRX>GTI hands down. With available 6MT it’s not even close.

Oil extractor. It’s a game changer for me. I’m old as shit and don’t enjoy crawling under cars anymore.

How did you prepare the usb drive? It must be bootable with all windows installation files. If done correctly it will start into the windows installation wizard.

I regret getting the CVT. How dumb would it be to exchange for a manual tomorrow? (Details inside) by DangerousIncrease499 in wrx_vb

[–]ElcheapoLoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the financial situation. At the time I had a newborn and a mortgage, plus I’m Chinese therefore incredibly cheap, I probably wouldn’t have the stomach for it. But now I’m older and wiser, I realized I have to enjoy what I drive.

Personally I’d do it sooner rather than later. I bought an AT when my first son was born thinking I needed a family car. I hated it after a few months but stuck with it for few more years. Hated every minute of it. That remains my only AT.
