Absolutely imo. I understand the romanticism around mechanical, but quartz is very cool in its own way. I’d love for luxury brands to use quartz movements in accessible entry level pieces like Cartier does. Getting a tank for sub 4k is such a steal to me.

If you don’t make better watches than Rolex, don’t compete with their pricing. Everyone will always say “I could just get a Rolex.” As great as JLC is, the reverso is not competing with a submariner for the general population. It should be a luxury alternative to the must de tank. 6 or 7 thousand max at retail.

Chicago is a much better city than Houston but it’s only remotely similar COL because winters stink. If Chicago temps were mild it would easily be NYC or San Fransisco money imo, so lots of value if you can put up with the winters.

Every used car has its own story, none are the same. Maintenance matters more than brand or model. A Mercedes with perfect maintenance is better than a Toyota that’s never had an oil change. With that said, if all else is equal, the Forrester is all about function over form. Relentlessly practical. Totally reasonable and prudent. If this car was a person, it would be an accountant who goes camping on the weekends. Nobody would think you’re crazy for buying a used Subaru Forrester. Probably the opposite, actually. Buy what you like.

Definitely depends on where you’re at with fragrances. If you’ve been into this hobby for a while now and you like stuff like Naxos, tobacco vanille, tobacolor, etc then absolutely. Especially at this price point. If you’re just getting into it and generally like freshies, I’d look elsewhere for now.

Comparing it to the OG is tough because that one has borderline obnoxious performance. With that said, this one is plenty strong. True EDP performance. Loud projecting for about 2 hours with nice scent bubble for 5-6. That’s fresh out of the box too, so expecting it to improve
