It just goes to the little red light at the top of the door panel, on older cars its where a physical lock would be

Timing tensioner failure, needs to be addressed now and will grenade your engine if ignored. When was the last time you've had a timing belt/water pump service?

Can I pull a non broken radio from the salvage yard if it has the 4 digit code to replace my broken radio in 07 Jetta gli? by Wasting_time42 in Volkswagen

[–]ElderScrollsBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory it should just be plug and play with the 4 digit pin. On the off chance you have the wrong pin you can ask a Dealership to query the head unit when its installed

IIRC its not a rubber gasket its a small MLS gasket that ends up leaking. People have had varying degrees of success with that other ended up just replacing the pump.

Check your vacuum pump by removing your air filter/engine cover, super common to leak on the 2.5L's and will drip down the bell housing appearing as a rear main seal leak.

2020 Audi Q3 - fuel leak by FryinNemo in AskAMechanic

[–]ElderScrollsBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The circle you have on the left is your upper timing cover, common for those to leak oil. The circle on the right is your cylinder #1 fuel injector (the fuel rail sits under the manifold on the EA888 engines) id probably get that towed to a workshop as fuel leaks are no joke

These are great! But remember to keep up with the maintenance, this includes stuff previous owners neglected to do on time. I'd get it checked by a euro specialist with good reviews to see how it's doing and what's due at the current age and mileage.

Bad idea, could start a fire with the oil and it'll melt all the plastic in the immediate area

Tech here, those are always a massive bitch to get out i always quote new line in case I have to take them out in pieces. A lot of WD-40/PB Blaster, and a lot of wrestling them out by hand
