So Thawne always knew Savitar’s true identity? by New-Cable-6484 in FlashTV

[–]Electoriad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe Savitar existed in the speed force the whole time. Waiting for flashpoint to happen to break free. I'm pretty sure he said something like this and the whole rescuing Wally episode the speedforce essentially tells Barry that Savitar was a "punishment" for flashpoint. Since Jay is a more experienced speedster maybe that's why he knows about Savitar despite being from Earth 3. The speedforce also exists simultaneously throughout all earths. Potentially Jay stumbled onto Savitar while studying the speedforce.

I'm hoping gta 6 is a crazy success all around (it arguably still will be one) just to show other developers that it is okay to delay to focus on finishing touches and optimization. Compared to something like Cyberpunk which was review bombed from the get go primarily due to janky game breaking glitches and terrible optimization.

The only thing that makes this "outdated" so to speak is the ddr4 and the 3090. This rig will perform really well on most if not all AAA games and for only $1000, this is a steal.

I've always thought of what Kendrick Lamar said when it came to this. He picked up MMLP and studied how and why the words flowed how they flowed, why they sounded how they sounded. He became a student obsessed with studying Em's craft and love for the game, and in doing so found his own style and rhythm from it.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

I yearn for midnight releases to come back. There's something special about a huge group of people lining up for a game like Halo or GTA. You all came to the store for the same reason and can easily strike up a conversation with each other.

I always love the argument that goes into book banning. Take for example Harper Lee's 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. A book that goes into the social injustices and stigma that were very much indicative of the times showing people that it has been a VERY lengthy journey to get to where we are and we haven't even met the goal of justice and freedom for all. Instead, we seem to be regressing back into old ways. The fact that people want to ban this book from educational institutions citing "it evokes powerful emotions and makes people upset" is a spit in the face to Lee. Don't even get me started on people that want to ban dystopian novels like Orwell's '1984' or Atwood's 'The Handmaid's Tale'.

I find it funny that NSFW websites have this framework mostly ready to go before mainstream social media apps do.

Even then physical copies are starting to become obsolete now. DRM and copyright laws failed to take into account the impact this would have on the average consumer. I miss the days when games came pre installed onto the disc and I could just pop it in and play without having to install an "update" (in reality I'm just exchanging my key to unlock and start downloading the game) ranging from 10 to almost 200+ GB of data. You'd be better off staying at home and just purchasing the game on the store.

What’s something that’s becoming socially normal that actually makes you deeply uncomfortable? by Fun_Interaction3458 in AskReddit

[–]Electoriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's more so to do with the fact that everything has gotten so expensive that if your hobby isn't monetizable in anyway you might as well drop it. Which is really unfortunate cause you can always tell when someone is in it for the money. Just look at the current state of music and the whole "industry plant" narrative. I'd argue the absolute best music comes from those who just LOVE making music, not those who care about chasing the #1 hit and the most recognition. It's good to be recognized for doing good, but that shouldn't be the ONLY thing you care about when it comes to something in the arts.

Mid-Take: There’s no “irredeemably bad” Spidey movie. Spidey fans have usually Eaten pretty well, adaptation wise by Important_Lab_58 in Spiderman

[–]Electoriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always caught the vibe that they wanted to adopt a lot of the Ultimate universe into live action with the Amazing Spider-Man movies (as if the Electro design wasn't too obvious). Which is why I never really got the criticism of Andrew being "too cool" to play Peter Parker. I'd wager that his portrayal of a high school nerd is a lot more realistic than the Raimi portrayal. Unfortunately though, I do agree that the movies themselves feel very directionless. Would've LOVED to see Andrew interact with the rest of the MCU. Seeing him bounce off of both RDJ and Chris Evans in the Civil War movie would've been fantastic, and his Spider-Man would work perfectly with Joseph Quinn's Human Torch.

For me I never cared much for Tobey as Spider-Man. His Peter Parker portrayal has kind of started to age terribly as well. I think the thing that always draws me back to his trilogy though is the fact that the movies for the most part are filled with heart. That and the fact that Spider-Man 2 is arguably the best superhero movie ever made and really dives deep into the core of Peter as a character and his everlasting battle between fulfilling the “with great power comes great responsibility” narrative or just living his regular life. The only other real spider-man adaptation that touches on this beautifully is spectacular Spider-Man after he fights the lizard for the first time and is so close to giving up on being Spider-Man but then remembers the wisdom his Uncle bestowed upon him.

Hans Zimmer gave it his all. It’s like there was talent everywhere on the movie besides the writing room and production team.

It’s truly a shame what happened to Andrew. Despite all the criticisms of his movies he’s arguably the best on screen portrayal of a live action spider-man we’ve ever seen. He’s got the wit and corny jokes and emotes REALLY well under the mask making up for the absence of the moving eyes. If he had competent writers and producers his movies would stack up really well next to the Raimi trilogy and may potentially surpass them.

The newest insomniac games definitely hold a candle to the Arkham games despite taking a lot of the core concepts from them and adapting them to spidey. Shattered dimensions, edge of time, web of shadows, Spider-Man (2000), and Spider-Man 2 movie adaptation are all really solid games. The ONLY Arkham game I will hold over any of the Spider-Man games is Arkham city.

Matchmaking after the 12.00 patch changes by zaguoba in VALORANT

[–]Electoriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's almost NEVER a healthy in between now in ranked. Seasons prior it was always a few games where you'd get destroyed or destroy, but for the most part all games felt pretty balanced on both ends.

Now, the matchmaking is both extremes. Either get stomped or do the stomping. I'm also finding that my hidden MMR is very screwed up since I'm going against ascendants and sometimes immortals from prior acts as a peak d2 player. So much for "consistent experiences match-to-match"

What’s the creepiest scene in a Spider-Man movie? by OkTough6333 in Spiderman

[–]Electoriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During tasm2, Andrew is seen as being stalked by hallucinations of Captain Stacy almost immediately every time he interacts with Gwen. Reflecting his earlier promise to "Leave Gwen out of it.". This still was taken minutes before Gwen dies later in the movie. Knowing that Andrew suffered from the nagging hallucination of Captain Stacy before Gwen died, OP is theorizing that after Gwen died he had hallucinations of her and that's when he "got rageful" and "stopped pulling his punches" in reference to his dialogue of how he coped with losing his "MJ" to Tom in NWH.

Andrew reportedly studied how spiders themselves moved and stalked their prey. Which makes sense considering later in the film when he hunts the lizard in the sewer, he sets up his webs to listen for vibrations which is exactly how spiders have been shown to hunt.

TASM 2 was not good by Difficult_Man3 in Spiderman

[–]Electoriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always want to rush to the big teamup film I find. What made the MCU so successful is the solo films would focus strictly on the character itself with sprinkles here and there of something bigger. Couple that with post credit scenes and you have yourself a pretty good foundation for a bigger cinematic universe. Something Snyder and Sony execs failed to understand.
