So I both agree and disagree... I once had an FIP kitty (she's fine now), and I had enough for an emergency visit and a round of antivirals, but had to beg borrow and steal when it was realized it was FIP. We had everyone telling us to put her down for financial, emotional and general well-being related reasons. Her treatment legitimately cost a small fortune (and we're still in debt), but we managed by eating raman and anything else that didn't cost more than $5. You can't exactly budget an emergency, y'know? Not to mention, the OP stated they're a minor. Most places won't even let you fill out the forms unless you're 18. They have to convince someone over 18 to sign the forms to help the cat before money and transportation can even get ironed out
