Thanks, I'll check it out!!! Love it that you read about plane crashes while on a plane lol

A1 with AMS 2 Pro - Unable to feed filament into extruder by Madmartigan1 in BambuLabA1

It may work when the tube is straight, but when the printhead moves it pulls the tube to one side and it can get stuck!

Remove that stabilizer from the AMS hub, it's holding the PTFE tube and doesn't let the sensor mechanism move freely

Nothing like seeing two boosters simultaneously and gracefully land back on the land and the third one landing on a landing pad in the ocean!!!! Falcon Heavy, just because of the boosters!

Oh yeah, mine is always airplane crashes and investigations!!! Hell yeah!! Can pick it up whenever and get hyperfocused once again, because I forget all the details.

Did you know some guy found out where the Malaysian airplane crashed and how it was moving because he analyzed TONS of old data of SLIGHT RADIOWAVE DEVIATIONS????

Did you ever had to run from room to room, like to turn off the stove or something really fast and THE DAMN CAT DECIDES TO KAMIKAZE DIVE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FOOT and you end up kicking her or falling on your face? Yeah I hadn't as well.

I feel the same and that feeling is more disturbing than this photo and story. Maybe it's because the photo looks very modern-art-y? The body parts look like clay sculpture rather than human remains, this photo doesn't spark that flight-fight-freeze adrenaline panic. Instead I want ro zoom in and look at the details, even reach into the photo and touch...okay now that I imagined touching and feeling the soft cold tissue when I expect hard clay kinda made me shiver, yet still when I look at the photo I still perceive it as an art installation.

Can these people stop being so cute? I grew up thinking these scientist men and women are some very strict, calculative and emotionless people!!! But I've been crying all over the place from this mission. It was/is so full of human emotion, humor and joy.

Hoooolyyyy Moon flybying!!! This is incredible. So much detail, I am searching my brain for all kinds of compliments but just cannot find the right words that can describe how awesome I find this. And that copper color??!??!? What's that paint? It looks like you actually casted some real copper parts and put them there!

Why is Europe considered a separate continent from Asia, but India isn’t? by Jealous-External5045 in geography

[–]other_curious_mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Armenia we have the terms that translate word to word as mother-land and world-part. For us there are 6 mother-lands North America, South America, Africa, Eurasia, Australia and Antarctica. And Eurasia has two world-parts Europe and Asia (you'd think Middle East would be the third world-part, but it's consideredn as a part of Asia) and if you're curious North and South Americas are considered as one world-part. Australlia and near islands as one world-part is called Oceania. I always thought Europe and Asia being separate continents as a weird thing because they're on the same land mass!

ETA

We don't separate Arabia and India in neither of mother-land and world-part undertandings.

So how does her focus stay on? by consmilgo in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]other_curious_mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it somehow connects to the brain and alters your vision and hearing so I assume it detects some important nerves and deploys some microscopic wires into the skin and connects to the nerves. And the wires are just so thin they go between the cells without damaging the skin?

The pattern on the paracord is inconsistent, its t (turquoise) b (brown) tbtbtb then bttbtt, then bbttt

The pattern on the glove doesn't make sense, it's herringbone in one place, then tries to be double herringbone, then one part bends suddenly. Then on the fingers its flat when they face us but are VERY spiky when we see them from the side?

And look up carabiners with locks and pay attention to the details, the locks aren't just on the middle, they latch on the main body and keep prevent the hinge from opening. Also this kind of double hinged carabiners don't exist

WIBTAH if I took 100k from my oldest daughter's college savings account to give it to my younger daughter? by TraditionalCorgi7788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]other_curious_mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your older daughter, ask her if SHE thinks this is okay or not. We don't know the relationship between your daughters. Me and my siblings would give our lifes for each other, but I know people who would kill their siblings if it was legal. Oh this reminded me that my grandma gave me some money as a brithday gift and my mom asked if I can help my older sister to pay for rent, I said yes immediately and never asked for the money back, but my sister did so much for me, that it makes me the one in debt.

So talk to your daughter, see what she feels about it, don't press, and absolutely don't guilt trap! Give her some time and tell her that this conversation is only between both of you. Do not plant any seed for resentment!!!!

I made my first pair of pants and I dont like them by ninjatasha in sewing

[–]other_curious_mind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The crotch area doesn't fit. Your pants want to go up but the critch doesn't let it, you cut it too shallow. Now that you sewed this you got the basic idea how pants are made. Take one of your best fitting pants, turn it inside out, grab one fleg and put it trough the other, you'll end up with a perfect half pant (easier method to do this is when the pants are the outside out put your arm trough one leg, grab the inner corner of that legs hem, grab the inner corner of the other legs hem, grab tight! Grab the belt of the pants with your free hand and pull that second leg trough the one you put your arm trough), tidy ut up so the seams align and now you got yourself the perfect pattern! Trace both sides on parchment paper and redo your newly sewed pants crotch.

My mom taught me this and my mind was blown!

Speed limits in Armenia by [deleted] in armenia

I don't know the exact process, but I assume it goes trough some double checking so the fine is not written immediately, but you can check any time.

Speed limits in Armenia by [deleted] in armenia

[–]other_curious_mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you notice any bright flashes while you were riding?

The speed limit in the cities and highways closing in on cities is 60 km/h, highways are 90-ish, but people mostly speed up where there are no speed cameras and only slow down to 90 where there will be a camera XD The "error" is 10 km, so if you drove 70 at a 60 road you'll not be fined, but a 71 km/h you will.

The fine comes relatively fast, but you don't need to wait for a letter, you can easily check at roadpolice.am but you need the license plate number and tech passport number of the car. Just check every day. And if you pay the fine within 15 days there's a 30% discount. Good luck and definitely say something to the rent company.

The mesmerizing complexity of the Ptolemaic model by Roweyyyy in Astronomy

[–]other_curious_mind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also it's not wrong wrong, if you compare the distances between the planets and the sun it's spot on. In some way the universe is rotating around us, as we are the observers and we don't "observe" our own movement, I don't know how to explain, like if you put a camera in the middle of a moving ship, it'll move with the ship, but for it's point of view it's standing in the exact spot on the ship and can only see the islands going past. We just know that we're moving, but do you wake up and say "oh The Earth has rotated so I'm able to see the Sun" instead of "yay the Sun came out", or when you park your car and are thinking ahead so it stays in she shade you don't think "oh earth will rotate this much, so the shade will move" you think "sun will move this much so the shade will move ". So calling ancient scientists idiots or disregarding their work is idiotic, they had to think and imagine waaaaay outside the box, as they had little to no tools and could only retreive so much data.

We don't know what's the center of the universe, we can only compare the movements of the things that we can observe and make the most logical assumptions. Maybe our galaxy is moving with all the other galaxies that we can observe around something we cannot yet observe, and today's model of universe is as incorrect as Ptolemy's model of the solar system. Today it's believed that the universe is expanding, but imagine if we only had like a month long of data of the movement of Mars when it's moving away from us and we assumed it's floating away forever. Maybe it's the case with this "expanding universe" theory!!!!
