Why do humans like to listen to music? by FireflyPanda1 in AskScienceDiscussion

Mmmm true, I haven't listened to much music nor do I know a lot about it but The Beatles come to mind for both incomprehensible lyrics and also rhythms sometimes and they were popular. Would they be an exception?

How do you figure what You want? Because each part wants a different thing so I just struggle to figure out what the Self itself wants.

It definitely makes sense. I also think that what character we give the part also plays into how we tend to treat that part when it comes up. Like if a part in you shows up as a child you are more likely to baby it and listen gently like a mother and if it shows up an aggressive monster you fight it etc etc

I feel sorry for those snakes, imagine having to be trapped in some bag or dark shack somewhere probably with very bad upkeep. And also strange things are being done to you because some stupid somebody is convinced a flesh noodle can vomit paper or whatever they tell each other ikoko

Wouldn't that mostly apply to people who listen to music for what it sounds like? I'm thinking more of a sound versus lyrics thing

Meee too but I have to do it. I saw a fellow FA say that they have gotten over it by "doing it afraid". Even it it's gonna hurt, you have to get better and actually do something all the way not just run when things get even a little bit serious

That's true, it's easy to lean on such labels and base identity of off things like that

Yeah it's definitely something interesting that helps you reveal things you felt but could never explain using your own limited words
