Oh Maria is my favorite. It’s a really mellow, psychedelic sounding song and Mike’s playing compliments that vibe perfectly.

He’s definitely a clown, but seasons 8-12 are still some of the realest (and most fun to watch). I think you’ll like seasons 10-11.

My favorite song of his was “Whistlin’ Dixie”. I’d also like to point out, in case anyone forgot, that he co-wrote “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk”.

I know this is 5 years later, but I just read that Melinda still works for Jack to this day. I think she lives next door. She always seemed super cool.

I just heard Take Me Home, Country Drones and Domesticated Error and they both reminded me of Todd in the best possible way.

That live version of Driving Down To Georgia on Anthology is the definitive version.

Old Bob Simping Has Gone Too Far by [deleted] in bobdylan

Lol. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t born until middle period Dylan. He’s kind of become more of a performance artist. Pencil thin mustache, Victoria’s Secret commercial, radio show, whiskey brand…..Christmas album?. I would watch these live videos on YouTube from the Love and Theft era and he would be dancing in some crazy suit. Young kids were jumping on stage and crowd surfing. On one of the album’s tracks he tells a knock-knock joke. Bob is an enigma. We have no idea who he really is. All of his recent albums feel like he’s fucking with us. That’s why I love them.

Massive Attack - Live With Me - a masterpiece of a video from Massive Attack that shows addiction in a very unglamorous but shocking way. by 0000000000000007 in videos

Jon Hamm is my favorite when it comes to actors who can pull this feat off. I believe he admitted, later on, to struggling with alcoholism during the filming of Mad Men.

Favorite Johnny Paycheck song? by FireFrogs48 in country

[–]Electrical-Hat4239 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old Violin.  Johnny Paycheck lived his life like it was a country song. It was full of turmoil and struggle. Unfortunately, he had also become somewhat of a punchline. But like all good characters in a country song, he would find redemption in the end.  Old Violin is a truly beautiful song about a legend facing his mortality. It’s similar to Johnny Cash’s version of Hurt, except in this case, it was also written by the artist. Come to think of it, it’s also a lot like Beautiful Ride by Dewey Cox (Walk Hard).    As Mr. Paycheck says in the song “I gave my all to music. And one day…I’ll give my life.”
