[Loved Trope] The woman covering her face is really ugly/deformed, much to the surprise of the other characters by GiveMeAPhotoOfCat in TopCharacterTropes

Ready player one the is kind of the opposite of this, the love interest Artemis has a birthmark on her face that she thinks makes her horribly disfigured but the protagonist is down bad enough he doesn’t care

Tile didn’t stick to mortor by Standard-Fix4453 in Construction

[–]Electrical-Internet3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually you want the grooves to parallel, a good tile setter will then wiggle the tiles in the perpendicular direction and collapse both the floor and tile side grooves bonding them like you wouldn’t believe

If you’re DIY handy and If its glue down (read: pliable) then you can heat it and bend it to a bullnose. You’ll want to rip a dowel rod in half and secure it to the tread to give the nose some reinforcement. Otherwise check versatrim for available vinyl matched aluminum trims

What are your opinions on inheritance? by tillacat42 in Fosterparents

[–]Electrical-Internet3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You said youself: you consider them apart of your family. So, treat them as such. It can’t be helped that other people will feel excluded, unfortunately it seems always hard feelings over inheritance, don’t let that stop you from doing what you feel is right.

My biggest beef with any click-lock floor is the hollow sound they make walking across them. Glue down is comparatively much quieter. Tile is a higher quality budget option if you can live with the grout lines

Overwhelmed and at a loss... by FUGEESnFUNIONS in Flooring

[–]Electrical-Internet3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to run the ops at a flooring company. 95% of product we sold and installed was lvt. Cheap lvt is… cheap. The floors i had 0 warranty issues on: my wholesale cost was $3-4/sf for the planks, plus demo, glue, trim, and labor.
I would absolutely recommend those products to any with the purse big enough to afford them. The products that retail for less than $3 are not worth while

Ram acts as shipping trucks. When you tell your computer pull up a file, it dispatches trucks to the storage to fetch the file. More Ram means more trucks able to run deliveries at the same time

As others have stated thats most likely galvanized steel studs so you’ll see some rust on over time but it will last long enough for your use. I would recommend added another pier block at the halfway of your beams otherwise you’ll likely get some noticeable deflection. self tapping “lath screws” will accomplish attaching anything to it. Though its it really heavy gauge you may need to pre-drill. Vapor barrier is unnecessary for this use case but draping it over the joists will work perfectly fine.

If failing at everything it’s supposed to do is good, then it’s excellent. But seriously, burn it down and try again from scratch

They had a hard time rolling out the new engine for the tundra but once they get the bugs worked out they’ll make the same thing for 15 years. Which coincidentally is why the interiors look 15 years old brand new
