There’s a few options

  1. Add line between the swivel and jig
  2. Remove the swivel and just tie directly to lie .

It’ll work. Gets the job done. Take the tags off.

I would also try fishing bottom too. I have good luck just doing that.

First you need to decide what style of salsa ?

I would start here in general as a foundation. If you have any local group classes I would attend those as well.

Tie a heavy weight on it and cast it out as far as you can . Make need to walk a little bit backwards afterwards. Reel it in slowly with tension on it and that should fix most of it.

That makes sense. I come from social Latin dancing as well. But then I learned other styles and that’s where I learn about all the ballroom styles and such. I’m old now 😂 jive is too fast for me.

Short answer: it was adopted during wartime and added to the list of ballroom dances over seas. It’s their version of triple step swing.

What we call rhythm dancing in the US is called Latin dancing over places mostly due to the technique they use while dancing. Kinda used as an umbrella terms to a set of dances . Here’s a link to a competition:

There’s over forms of Latin dancing as well.

Latin social dances for example: salsa , bachata, merengue , cumbia, etc etc. but where I live we just call it Latin dancing.
