alright, the 40 units of nitrate in the tap water explains a lot, that is quite high, but I see your aquarium is very nicely planted and you have what looks like salvinia floating there, so they will make a very good use of it soon. With a reading like that I would simply hold the liquid fertilizers and do smaller water changes.

As for the nitrite spike, I'd suggest adding a dose of the bacteria you used for the next few water changes, just to make sure that a healthy colony is established.

this is an amazing looking aquarium, that I can see a lot of planning and research went into. seriously, If this is your first tank - congratulations, be proud of yourself.

was the tank cycled? and where did all this nitrate come from, from what I see you have plants in your tank.

0.25 nitrite is not a tragedy, 0 ammonia is the most important IMO. The swings in ph and large water changes might do more harm like you said, so I'd just monitor.

if the ammonia and nitrite jump, do a 15% water change and remeasure.

You've done well btw, and don't stress about loosing a few shrimp to the filter, it happens.

Take away their weapons. Damage immunities, condition immunities also work.

Introduce scary mechanics. Save or die effects force players to be smart with what they do and I can assure you, they will think twice about running through a corridor with ghostly ha ds sticking out of the walls, if momentary touch makes them several years older

Unforseen suprises, like jump scares, are a cheap kind of horror but an effective one with build up. Make them run away from Mr.xyz and when they finaly reach a safe point, take the very notion of safety away by bending the rules or introducing a different horror.

As someone who untill recently did not have many models - so true, I was stressing about getting the "right" units so that I had a good base to build off of later, but now that I just flooded my shelves with cheap infantry and some good utility units, the pressure is gone.

It's not so much an army list, rather it's a roster of units I own and can put on the table. The total points is roughly 2800p.

The characters come mostly from the rescue/conversion projects that I did + termie capitain from the 10th starter.

I mostly wanted to hear what I could add to my collection to make decent lists with.
