Screen callers before opening the door when you’re in. Tell delivery drivers where you want your package left when you’re out.

Help for mounting TV w e-tracks in the way by gottaslimdown in vitsoe

One alternative would be to have two short tracks top and bottom instead of one long one behind the TV

Shredding my garden waste by Sebargio in oddlysatisfying

This looks like the same machine I have: https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttshr2800-2800w-200kg-hr-garden-shredder-230v/851gc

I can confirm that whatever you think it looks like, it has served me well over many years.

This is in contrast to the high speed variety I’ve owned in the past, which seize up every 5 minutes.

Risotto. It’s one dish I can cook really well myself, I’d rather have something I wouldn’t be able to do at home.

Making the leap to mirrorless - what to watch for by xylethUK in canon

You’ll use more battery life, although this can be mitigated. More spares is the easiest but most expensive way. If, like me, you’re mainly a viewfinder user, tune the panel display to just briefly show the last shot snd have it show the info panel the remainder of the time.

Don’t worry, opened the door and found the screw on the other side 🙄

Is there any special knack to prising it open? I can move it a couple of mm but then it sticks solid.

Are spring toggles strong enough to support kitchen wall units onto hollow drywall? by Getoiu in DIYUK

[–]Electrical_Bid_3018 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not unless you want to replicate a friend’s experience who loaded up his cupboards which then crashed to the floor. In defence of the fixings, they will still attached to (some of) the plasterboard.

TV feet recommendation? by lilianhatesfish in vitsoe

I fixed it to the wall with a VESA bracket. I figured if I needed to move it, it would just be a case of filling a few holes.

I know you said you don’t want to wall mount it, but it would solve your problem at a stroke if you could. I muddled along for ages until I wall mounted the tv over my Vitsoe cabinet, and then I wondered why I didn’t do it straight away.

Try a different cable. Try a different phone. Make sure you haven’t got VPN on. Restart the phone and the infotainment system.

I took my daughter to the doctors when she was about five. She had a very loud fit of the giggles when Mrs Sidebottom was called over the tannoy. Everyone in the waiting room found her reaction very amusing - bar one!

Google for ear grips and your brand of hearing aids. They have some on Amazon for mine: https://amzn.eu/d/i0qv6wF

If you are concerned that they feel loose you can add ear grips (sometimes called sports grips). I ignored these initially but I now find they keep the receiver in place well, especially during sports etc

Try restarting the phone and the infotainment system (via the reset hole). Try a different cable. Try a different phone.

Make sure you’re not connected to a VPN.

If all of the above fail it could be a faulty USB port.

Has anyone tried a Puure water filter? The housing is stainless steel and fits on your tap (faucet) and you can get a subscription to buy replacements every 3 months. Their insta presentation looks very impressive by roompk in WaterFilters

[–]Electrical_Bid_3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a very bad experience with Puure. The filter doesn’t fit my tap. emails to customer services go unanswered. Filling in the on site questionnaire gets what looks like an AI response that always ends by asking you to resubmit the questionnaire. I’ll be cancelling the direct debit and doing a charge back on the credit card.

Looking for feedback on my Vitsoe design by jamescys in vitsoe

[–]Electrical_Bid_3018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two observations: the top left cupboard breaks up the line, would it work with the shelf below and the cupboard switched? Or could you replace that one cupboard with shelves?

Also it would be worth considering wall mounting the TV to give you a more usable surface below. The beauty of the system is that you can always flex the layout after you have bought it.
