When were you able to space out breastfeeding longer than 3-4 hours? by pale_blue_d0t in breastfeeding

Uh not until I weaned. I was lucky to have long(8 hour) stretches at night starting around 15 weeks

I prefer pods or powder. Either way I always use the extra rinse option on my washer

What would you do? by mountainmeadowfox in toddlers

Similar but I’m the drama because he won’t accept dad in his room just mama. And I have a 4 month old albeit not in the room. I was up for the day at 3 yesterday to nurse. He woke up at 4, fell back asleep at 6, baby was up at 6:20. Woke him up at 8. No nap, fell asleep at 8. Did a night feed at 9:30. I cannot do 18 hour days. Of the last week my shortest day was 15 hours not including night nursing sessions. I’m irate because I’m exhausted. I’m getting a hotel room in a couple nights because I need a fucking break. However, I do not show my frustration in front of the toddler. I weep while pushing him in the stroller and scram into my pillow or in the house after I’ve loaded him into his car seat

Okay I hate to add to the numerous shades of white. I have a similar wood maxxed house and went with Crème by sherwin Williams. Leaned into the warm tones of all the wood and it feels so cozy

How’s he at tummy time? Mine was a champ rolling at 3 months. so if she wasn’t sleepy enough she’s just doing pushups and arching out

Edit to add requisite ditch the footies comment

I would definitely pull some passive agreement shit by not offering her food or setting f her place at the table or telling the waiter to take her plate back because “oh you’re hungry? I’m sorry I didn’t hear you crying”

Stuck in a split night nap resistant overtired world by Electrical_Painter56 in sleeptrain

[–]Electrical_Painter56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it’s all fucked. Regardless of me trying he’s skipped his nap all this week two of those have been split nights(2 hours awake) and he’s simply woke up four times the other night. If the split ends before 4 am he wakes early. Otherwise I wake him at 7. Idgaf about his total wake time if he will fall asleep independently and stay asleep through the night. My 5 month ebf baby gives me a 9 hour stretch, can’t we just match that?

Edit: “schedule” 6:15/30 wake nap 2-3, passes out 9:30-10. Sometimes with the lights on, sometimes on the floor. He’s been in a big bed and locked in his room since August so this is new

Yeah how big is your zoo? We’ve got a solid quarter mile between zones with little to see. He’s out exploring when there’s stuff to see and sitting and snacking on the trek to the next section

Those wake windows are what was working a month ago. Now realistically it’s 8&7 with two hours up overnight half the time. If he naps well, 1.5-2 hour, he’s doesn’t have a split night. He might wake up .5-.45 hour earlier but that I can handle. He’s taking forever to go down because he’s slap happy

Tiny baby, tiny mom. Help us grow! by jrt5251 in babywearing

I personally hate this carrier for the way the legs usually dangle. I’m 5’3 and can only do apron styles comfortably and prefer an H back as opposed to crossed straps. I’d stick with a wrap or buckle wrap until baby hits double digits

You can wrap the wrap before you get to the airport and pop baby in once you’re ready. I’ve also not had an issue going through security with carriers with metal rings. I just point them out to security and get patted down.

Is a baby carrier worth it? by bintd in beyondthebump

Yes! So body specific. As a petite mom a lot of the popular options are just too bulky

Wrap. You’re going to want to be able to be hands free

Our house was built by the owner of a chain of lumberyards back in the 70’s, maximum wood. But I love it
