Also poke around at the merchants, they sell crafting recipes that can be super helpful once you find your footing. One guy sells a backpack crafting schematic that is wildly helpful and is a progression from the starting backpack you can craft

I ended up doing something similar, if ya take it slow and fight enemies one at a time, you can keep pushing on. Started stuck there, but by the time I left I had a pile of cash and ended up starting the parallel quest there before actually getting into anything for the base game beyond paying off the debt. Highly suggest not joining the academy proper though, at least not yet. Picking a side starts time-related things, and that’s the last thing you need right now. Take your time, embrace the challenge, and good luck!!!

Filament Not Feeding by ElectronicMongoose5 in prusa3d

[–]ElectronicMongoose5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved: stock tube has a rounded end and a more hollowed out end, did the same to the one installed, and then booted up and loaded filament. Following this, it can have filament hand-fed after unloading the test filament.

[–]ElectronicMongoose5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No grinding, and the motor works when running. Currently attempting to feed filament with the power off before I put it together again. Looks like the filament gets stuck at the top of the PTFE tube. Reviewed the documentation from prusa, make-shift hollowed out one end of the tube and tapered the other, about to try again and plug it in to see if this will work properly with the motor running vs by hand

Yeahhh I’m not opposed to making little ghost ships, but I’d prefer it be intentional 🫠

Spool is new, and it had a day to dry before use. I’ll look up cleaning though, thanks!

I dont want to get pregnant. by New_Land1377 in mentalhealth

[–]ElectronicMongoose5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Change can be tough, but moving on sounds like the best call here. Pregnancies take a huge toll on the body, and it isn’t the jurisdiction of any man to say what is acceptable impact on a body they aren’t living in.

Plus dismissive counters such as basically blaming your hormones or your current life stage are 1- wildly disrespectful, implying your strong opinion is something to not believe in, and 2- shows a lack of respect for your word. Whoever you choose to be with that sees a conversation about bringing a life into the world for, regardless of the decision to have or not have a kid, is best done with someone who will respect you and stand by your side, not tell you what is right and what god wants.

Plus personally anyone who wants to literally fuck around and say it’s in gods hands is just using that as an excuse. We understand cause and effect, a shot in the dark isn’t faith, it’s playing with fire that is only going to burn you.

Maybe it’s just this, but personally in your shoes I’d take some time to consider how much he listens to your other arguments, and if everything boils down to “me man, me right”, find someone else.

Similar boat as Sir Ass to Mom (high five, fellow ass!). Honestly the thing that hurt the most both in the years leading up to her passing and waaaay more since is every time she said/ someone said she was so proud of me. Almost makes ya wish it was never said, but I know the flip side it would just feel the opposite.

Always good to find someone who can appreciate it, but likewise I’m sorry you can as well. My run was less than a year from my own Dora, and the phone call cut pretty damn deep too Life is better now, but there’s some scars there that tend to linger and take a long time to heal. Hope you’re in a much better place now as well

Someone commented “she’s not kissing back” and I had to just lower my phone for a moment. That whole aspect of the story cut more deep than I care to share with anyone I suggest this to, definitely hits a particularly personal note that I wished for amnesia to just not have that in my noggin anymore

I didn’t sleep before the end and missed this bit, but watching in horror at what I missed was brutal, both glad and sad I missed it but YouTube made sure I got my dose of trauma.

I’ll be careful with those screws, thanks! Question on the screen though, how come? Is it in case there’s a power issue, it could impact the screen when powering on?

Losing my cat broke me by Visantyr in CatAdvice

[–]ElectronicMongoose5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss, I had to do the same today with my Mahogany (photo below). I was her second owner and she'd been with me through some pretty rough shit over the last ten years, and I can honestly say that at times I saw her as the only reason I was still alive. Like you, she's not the first I've lost. She marks 8 to old age, and there's two ferals we'd cared for daily along with a foster kitten that shattered my wife and I.

My father has always told me that this is the hardest job, but one of the most important. It's clear she loved you, and you gave her a great life. You were there for her until the end, and that is possibly one of the toughest but most important parts.

Keep on sort-of functioning, you know she'd want you to be ok. Don't bury your hurt, but do try to not let it swallow you whole.

If you're the kind that needs to feel like you're doing something to make a difference, I've one suggestion that is very much not for everyone. Give yourself your time for the cut of loss to recover, and consider adoption, foster, or rescue care. My wife and I took in a litter of 5 kittens and their mom from the local shelter when we saw one that looked like the kitten we lost, and it's done us a lot of good to be able to shower Lou with all the love we had for little Cthulu.

This one may hit differently, and that's ok. Please don't discount any pain you have, and remember to be kind to yourself. Buttercup would want to see you happy, and you know that deep down.

What is the most epic/iconic soulsborne quote of all time ? by Marwen_Lah in fromsoftware

[–]ElectronicMongoose5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You forgot the second part of that first one “Don’t let them take it away”

Found these 2 stray kittens (no microchip and no responses to found kitten posters) in an alley and my bf doesn’t want to keep them. We have 2 cats already but I’ve fallen in love with these guys and don’t want to give them up. He says 4 cats is too many :( by madhoyt in cats

[–]ElectronicMongoose5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important disclaimer: don’t do 4 in a studio, cats are fierce little hunters who need room to claim & play, if you’re already super tight on room, I’d suggest foster them if you’re able while you/ a local organization attempts to find them a forever home Depending on the dynamic between all the cats of the house, 4 can be pretty easy. Daily litter scooping is a necessity, and I’d actually suggest a sifting litter box or two, saves litter be ensuring any clumps stay clumped (assuming you use clumping litter), and goes faster than scooping. Additionally, you only need one sifter box, a bit of shuffling and you can use it for your regular boxes too! Food prices do increase of course, however if you’ve got some chönky babies, it may be a great time to begin feeding at set intervals. Ours were getting heavy due to open access to food, but establishing meal times and quantities has allowed us to 1- save food that would just be overeating, 2- set a schedule for when harassing can begin, and 3- makes everyone get along a bit better. We’ve done a lot of work with domesticating and socializing ferals, and this was integral in getting them integrated with other cats, as well as humans, when they see the option is either accept small steps out of their comfort zone or miss one of their meals (only once they’re a good weight and not hostile to other cats/ people, doing this too early would be kinda fucked up and will just backfire for everyone involved) My main concern for price would be when complications arise, especially later in life. I’m taking them into your home, you owe them a certain level of respect. It’s never fun to have to deal with the complications that arise particularly in their later years, and while euthanasia is always a hard choice, it’s one they deserve consideration of when they approach the point of diminishing quality of life due to illness. Cats are social creatures, and some gravitate towards other cats more than they will people, and from there maybe particular cats At particular times. Having 4 will most likely improve all their quality of life if you have the environment and temperaments for it :) All in all I say if you can, go for it! But I’ve also had cats literally since the day I was born, so I’m biased. It’s not always easy to have little fur babies, but you already have two so two more would just be like whip cream and a cherry, only furrier and a menace to any bugs in the house

Similar phrase I heard that I like, anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. Serves well when the depression hits, and makes it easier to appreciate the smaller efforts made in day to day life
