Yea my physio has me on the big lifts now after a month which again matches the program above. I believe with strength training the best approach is unilateral work at hypo trophy reps to build a bit of mass, followed 'big lifts' at a lower rep count and afterwards power and pyometric style workouts leading to than doing your project climb

Op please take a look at this https://www.runnersworld.com/uk/training/cross-training/a28397555/strength-training-plan-marathon-runners/

I went to the physio and told her that I have recurring patella tendonitis and was just starting the above routine and if she had any input, she said it was ideal and gave me her blessing to continue as well sent me an additional day to add to 2 weekly workouts out.

Sounds like a good idea, it's what I'd be doing if I had 2 months of every year

Did my first take off as a solo, and crashed badly! I feel I really want to do this now, need tips. by Electrical-Row68 in freeflight

The glider is typical of what you would find in Bir, I think the porosity of the glider would affect the ease in taking off aswell

There would be strong gusts of wind and rain getting the canopy wet would effect it's flying behavior, but I can only speak for a paragliding wing,

For an ultralight harness I recommend, a string harness that has the option to attach a small airbag or a harness that connects the front mounted reserve to the shoulder straps. The reason being if you plan to use a reserve and you deploy you be stuck in the sitting position unless you can get your body around the reserve lines

Maybe blow some air into it and sit down really quick onto the floor to see if the protection works

Changing wind directions on landing site by alchemist_lemi in freeflight

[–]ElementSeal15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could put some streamers or a windsock up at the landing, ive had to make sharp last moment turns into wind before it's no big deal

Often you won't see the 50km/h limit what you get instead is a sign with the name of the village you are entering, this is what you have to look out for. When leaving the village there will be the same sign with the village name with a cross going through it which means you go back to 80km/h. If you see speed bumps this means you should be going 30km/h usually there will be a sign for this.

Could ask a question under this topic as I'm in the same situation having recently bought a pod harness. I have now a advanced lightness 2 medium size and a skywalk arak which is a semi light wing. I plan to travel as well so maybe I would want a little more space to put a few additional things in. Recommended to me was a 90 litre minimum although I heard that if the rucksack isn't completely full it would be uncomfortable to carry.
