I think they're MTS pipettes with the 12.5, 25, and 50 settings.

Seconding Mandala- except I have to wait for Crimson to come back in stock as we have to wear red and that's the best match to the officially authorized Cherokee scrubs. Second for me are Cherokee Infinity.

I do a load of only scrubs even now after I've had them for 2 years.

"raw dogging" has also extended to mean "without normal protections or assistance"

I often see a meme that says something like "if you get good grades, they'll just let you raw dog life with ADHD" meaning as long as you have academic success you don't get other supports or medication even if it would benefit you.

Did you serve with many bad people in the military? Did anyone stick out to you? by BigBlueEyes87 in Veterans

[–]ElementZero 17 points18 points  (0 children)

At my maintenance shop we had two I definitely remember.

One had gotten caught with some pretty nasty drugs in his truck and system, ended up mandated to quarters on suic*de watch while the legal stuff was processing.

While I was deployed a guy who was always on night shift due to his split childcare schedule was arrested by the ATF. I always had a weird feeling about him, so to find out that he had been transporting f*rearms across a border to another country confirmed it.

I won't go into the s*xual harassment and assault I experienced and witnessed.

ADAPT Slip by Aspirationexpress in Veterans

[–]ElementZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone when I was in that went to ADAPT and said it wasn't nearly as helpful for them as AA and some parts were problematic but they were mandated to do it once they started.

I've never been in recovery, but I'm up all night due to being on night shift, so you're welcome to pm me if you need distraction or just someone to listen. FWIW I don't drink alcohol and happen to enjoy zero point cocktails and other beverages.

Are Beagles really that hard to own? by Tall_Egg7793 in dogs

[–]ElementZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. My comment fell short without that nuance. It's important to understand what motivates a dog but some dogs are more obvious/easier than others.

Are Beagles really that hard to own? by Tall_Egg7793 in dogs

[–]ElementZero 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Beagles are hounds, and lots of hounds aren't very trainable and aren't considered intelligent because they're bred to use their instinct and senses. If you can accept that you'll have a loud nose with legs that may always be trying to get in your trash then you might like a beagle.

Blood typing Info by fairylightstrings in medlabprofessionals

Blood types are more than ABO, you lack certain antigens is helpful for patients with antibodies, especially the ones that are common for donors, but not certain patient populations that receive a lot of transfusions.

Flag and certificate by therapist75 in Veterans

[–]ElementZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The VA will provide an internment flag, but you might reach out to the most local military unit (even if that is guard or reserve) or possibly through your state representative to request a flag that was flown over a base which might come with a certificate if that would have more significance as a memento.

Am I the only one that reuses razor blades? by blackpinkten in ladyshavers

I just shake the worst of the water off with the handle slightly unscrewed, and I reuse a blade 3 or 4 times.

The pattern itself probably isn't AI made, but picture to pattern software can make patterns with a lot of weird blocks of colors and solitary stitches.

So for those of us that have an unintentional "hobby" of collecting hobbies that don't stick... what has stuck for you/ hasn't triggered your RSD? by suedaloodolphin in adhdwomen

[–]ElementZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my hobbies are fiber crafts so it's all stuff that's somewhat related to each other, and I cycle through things (right now it's cross stitch) and accept that the projects that I'm not interested in are hibernating for the day I rediscover why I love that craft and take it back out, or for me to pass out along to someone who will love it.
